Tim Allison, who is running for the Democratic nomination in CA 24 ( Currently Rep. Elton Gallegly), has picked up a great endorsement from State Assembly Member Pedro Nava. Adding this to his earlier endorsements he has a growing list of labor leaders, elected officials, and grassroots activists. I haven't endorsed a candidate and I don't plan to until I know more about each of them.

Many blogs have a policy against posting press releases. I like to post them so you can read directly what the campaigns are sending out. I also like to post them for the grassroots activists that are looking for tips on how to write an effective press release. It is among the tools I make available to grassroots activists and campaigns. I have also posted a list of party registration, contact information, and when a seat comes up for election to help out those that want to get involved. Thanks to longtime reader and commenter Katie Teague for creating that list. Another resource available is the district maps I have posted. If you know a better source for a map that I have posted please leave a link for us.

The Tim Allison for Congress Campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement of California State Assembly Member, Pedro Nava.Pedro Nava has a long history of public service which has continued during his tenure as a State Assembly Member where he has demonstrated his long-standing commitment to public safety, emergency preparedness and environmental protection. Before arriving in Sacramento, Nava was a Deputy District Attorney in Fresno and later, a prosecutor in Santa Barbara, where he worked in the Consumer Business Law Section. As a state lawmaker he has authored bills to protect victims' rights. He is currently a candidate for State Attorney General.

Tim Allison, of Ventura, CA, is a successful small businessman and has been extensively involved in the community. Allison coordinated a local Obama campaign effort and was an Obama Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Denver. As a successful real estate broker in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties for the past six years, Tim knows the challenges families face in buying and keeping their homes. Tim is also a past political director for SEIU Local 620. Further, he managed a successful ballot measure campaign which dedicates over $2 million annually to cleaning up ocean and creek pollution. He is a director for the non-profit Legal Aid Foundation.
Tim Allison has a bachelors degree in Economics and a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.
