The video above dates back from the primaries. In it Sarah Palin says that female candidates that are under more scrutiny and unfair press coverage should just work harder and not whine or complain over the coverage.
I guess after she understood some of the types of criticisms launched at Hillary Clinton over the last few decades she has a different opinion.
How long until she announces she will be hosting a show on Fox News?

Sarah Palin appeals to flock of inbred sheep typically far too trusting of their annointed shepards. She is not a serious contender for national office and will be cashing in on her celebrity before her northern lights dim from the public memory.
Brian:
I've watched this video four times and don't see Sarah Palin saying what you said Palin said, "Hillary Clinton Shouldn't Complain About Press Coverage."
Isn't it standard practice to allow the object of a story to be directly quoted accurately?
Above you say "Sarah Palin says," but then omit direct quotations. What's up with that?
Second, there is no detail given to the statement that then-Senator Clinton made for readers to understand the context of which Sarah Palin was speaking about.
Scott,
You're playing the semantics game. It is absolutely clear that Palin said that Clinton shouldn't complain about the press coverage she was getting.
The context surrounding Clinton's "whine" (Palin's remark) isn't germane to Palin's suggestion that politics is not for those who whine when faced with negative publicity.
Because its a video, allowing the viewer a 1st hand listen to the candidate's own words, Brian's under no ethical of journalistic obligation to offer quotes. His post is basically saying, "Here's what Palin had to say. Listen to it..."
You're searching hard for controversy where there is none.
It has been another few great weeks for the GOP. First Osborn and the VCRCC gets their phony lawsuit thrown out of court. Then Senator Ensign of Nevada announces he had an affair with one of his married staffers and then promoted she and her husband. Then we have Sanford in Carolina flying off to Argentina to have and affair after leaving his state without telling anyone and then to top it off we have Palin quitting a year and a half early because she said if she stayed she would just waste the taxpayers money by taking trips etc. Why anyone stays in the GOP is beyond me. Poor souls, poor souls.
PALIN: When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism or you know maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, “Man that doesn’t do us any good — women in politics, women in general wanting to progress this country.” I don’t think it bodes well for her, a statement like that. Because, again, fair or unfair, it is there, I think that’s reality, and I think it’s a given. I think people can just accept that she is going to be under the sharper microscope. So be it. I mean, work harder, prove yourself to an even greater degree that you’re capable, that you’re going to be the best candidate, and that of course is what she wants us to believe at this point.
Oh please give me a break, it's all about Sarah. She was ready to quit on the Alaskans as their Governor to trade up to VP and now she has found another reason to quit, she most likely has a better offer. From the sounds of another interview I heard she has plans to lobby outside of office and believes she can be more effective, which most likely will pay more than the Governor gig.
If she had said she was quitting because her children need her I could understand this move andf respect it.
If she can't handle David Leterman how can she handle Osama bin Laden, Iran, Korea etc.
Great to watch Franken sworn in this morning as a U.S. Senator, the destruction of the GOP goes on. I bet he does the whole term and does not quit like Palin the Quitter.
Take a look at this link:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2288776/posts
Republicans are insulting the family of the president with racist and disgusting terms.
Feel free to register and tell them how you feel.
Yesterday GOP Senator Ensign of Nevada confessed his wealthy father Michael, a Casino Mogul, paid his mistress and her husband $96,000, and we thought Eliot Spitzer paid a lot for it! In other news a new study by the Public Policy Institute showed that wealthy Californians are not leaving the state, this shows this was nothing by a big lie by the teabaggers like Foy and Phony Tony.
David,
You forgot to mention ACORN buying up all the votes in the Obama election. I guess it isn't just Republicans who are corrupting the system, eh Atkins?
I buy my votes from Walmart.
No proof of ACORN buying votes, but there was plenty of proof that the GOP was paying people to sign up new voters who would then change their registration to republican and thus, breaking the law. Funny how far right wing nuts claim to love the U.S. but break the law and try to burn the Constitution whenever they can.
David,
I love all your pseudonyms: Alaska Bubba, Mike Gibson State of Mind, Bubba's Daddy, Wyatt Earp, ad nauseum. Scared to post under your real name, huh? Thought so. Why don't you grow a pair?
There was plenty of proof ACORN was buying votes and you know it. They skirted the law at every opportunity to help get "The Messiah" elected. They were totally in bed together, the Obama campaign having donated $800,000 to the ACORN organization. I guess if you can't earn votes you buy them, huh?
If you go back and check the whole story, the ACORN issue began AFTER the organization itself approached authorities in several states to say that they'd collected a certain number of voters registrations that were probably phony. Whether they did this because they wanted to be honest or they wanted to preempt an investigation has never been addressed. However, once the admissions were made public the GOP's talking heads jumped on the opportunity to claim election fraud and they tried to tie it in to Obama's campaign. To date there's been no evidence of any coordinated connection between Obama and ACORN and NO evidence that any wrongdoing was done. It is NOT a violation of any law to flag your own suspect registrations...no matter how much you would like it to be in Obama's case.
On the other hand, Alaska Bubb a is correct that the GOP has been caught in several instances violating election laws....going so far to post mark ballots in Minnesota.
Yeah, GS, and I never inhaled either.
What about the $800K Obama's campaign gave to an ACORN-affiliated organization. Does the phrase - "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine" - come to mind at all?
I bought my pair at Walmart. They were made in China and my wife keeps them in her purse.
There goes David Atkins again, ranting as usual. This guy is a leader in the County Democratic Party? Yikes! They better be reevaluating their choices. He makes Sarah Palin look like a rocket scientist.
No it's me.
Cal Atkins,
CAn you name a single GOP candidate that DIDN'T Contribute to several of the conservative voter registration orgs? You can't.
A contribution isn't illegal or unethical, despite your need for it to be in Obama's case.
Bubba,
I am not the biggest critic of WalMart and I do occasionally shop at the WalMart in Simi Valley. That being said I doubt highly the figure of a million dollars more for the city of Ventura in new sales tax revenue each year. Do you really think it would be a regional draw? Obviously those numbers are based on more money being spent, but instead being spent in a new location.
You are usually more of a skeptic.
Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog.
Oops, sorry, Nobody. Let me correct the record.
David Atkins = Nobody (how fitting).
Bubba,
What is Mike Gibson's relationship with Dean Kunicki? I believe Dean Kunicki and the VCRCC ripped off the tax-payers by making us pay for "their" Walmart lobbyists and laundering money into local Republican campaigns.
Mike Gibson doesn't have the guts to answer my question so maybe you can ask him for me.
Hi all,
David Atkins posts only on occasion and he posts under his real name. He isn't Nobody. I don't know what he is talking about in regards to WalMart lobbyists. I assume he means the lobbyists the VCOE hired to lobby congress on unrelated business.
Brian,
Here is a link to the story I am referring to: http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2009/jan/10/education-board-dropping-lobbyists-396000-cost/
Brian,
Check the IP address. Someone else is impersonating me again.
Somebody is using my fake name. Bla Bla Bla. Pander to me Brian and make me feel special because I'm a big cry baby about my fake name.
Are you serious!!! LOL!!!
California Atkins, let's get back on topic. Sarah Palin is a quitter, Ensign and Sanford claim to be righteous and moral republicans and then cheat on their wives and all the GOP clowns like you and Bubba Kidd look the other way and then scream like hysterics about something Clinton did in the 90s. No wonder the GOP is falling apart at the seams. The party of Lincoln has become the party of wingnuts and hypocrisy! And Obama is not the messiah, the messiah is Grover Norquist and you and the other wingnuts have his picture in your living rooms and you bow down daily to it and pray to it and weep in front of it and teabag one another in front of it like the loyal sheep you have become.
Bubba,
In the post that discusses Gibson?
Loyal sheep, you say? What about all the Kool-Aid drinking Obama minions that were conned into thinking this guy was going to save the world only to find out that they, and every other hard-working taxpayers, along with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, will be paying dearly for it for decades to come.
Witness the Obama-proposed nationalized health care plan that will cost the taxpayers $10 billion a month in new taxes. $10 billion a month! By way of comparison, the war in Iraq is costing $1 billion a month.
This is Socialism, pure and simple. You can dress it up any way you choose, but, as The Messiah so eloquently stated (excuse me while I genuflect at the mention of his name), but you can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.
You say that we look the other way on Ensign and Sanford, but there are many more recent examples of Democrats doing the same thing or worse -- John Edwards (cheating on his cancer-stricken wife) and Eliot Spitzer (sleeping with hookers while claiming to be a "law and order governor"). Where is your outrage over their behavior?
Cal Atkins... the Iraq fiasco has yet to cost less than $52B in budgeted spending plus no less than an additional $25B in supplemental spending in any year. Most years the total came to over $100B.
Obama has never proposed a national health care plan. He has proposed a national health insurance option. To date, the cost reductions proposed by insurers, hospitals, drug companies and employers total over $250B of the total expected cost of $1,200B, over ten years. That leaves about $950B to be covered mostly through offset savings elsewhere, amongst present day federal spending (including medicare, veterans affairs, supplemental health care coverage, etc.)..over the next ten years. Total savings is expected to be in excess of the funds needed to make a national health insurance option viable.
It is not socialism...it is free market economics at work: private health care insurers have no competition and thus have turned Americans into indentured servants while a federal option will force those insurers to compete or go out of business.
If you believe that voters using the democratic process to secure necessary services for themselves is socialism, then you should consider moving somewhere else where democracy takes a back seat to private greed. Zimbabwe, perhaps?
GS, I beg to differ, but Obama's plan is, in fact, a nationalized health care plan. What else do you call a plan that limits your choice to a government-run and funded program that you must participate in, at the expense of the taxpayers? This is Socialism by definition.
Oh sure, you can still choose to continue to participate in your employer-provided health care plan (initially), but tell me how many employers are going to want to continue to providing health care when the government is going to do it for them? Since when has the private sector been able to compete effectively against a massive government-run program that has unlimited financing at its disposal (i.e., mine and your tax dollars)?
This is not "using the democratic process to secure necessary services", as you proclaim. Rather, it is government by fiat, which seems to be Obama's M.O. thus far. The people (who are really the government, by the way) will not stand for this and there will be an uprising as strong, if not stronger, than what occurred against the so-called "immigration reform" bill that was shot down a couple of years ago. Watch and see!
Under the proposed plan NO ONE is forced to accept the govt-paid for plan. Everyone has the option of purchasing a private plan and, if as you say, most people will opt for the govt plan rather than one of the private plans, then those people are voting with their checkbooks. That's exactly what free market is about.
Your concern about employers opting out of health care insurance plans and letting the govt pay for them is nonsense as those employers still have to pay. Since they still have to pay, they'll be free to choose with THEIR checkbooks...govt or private insurance plans. Again, that's free market forces at work.
What's NOT free market at work is when private insurers collude to rig the system and charge outrageous prices for the privilege of allowing your insurer to override your doctor on what care you should get. That's NOT free market.
By the way...over 2/3s of voters WANT a public health insurance option, so I don't expect any uprising.
Walmart
Boo-hoo, my name is Bubba and I'm soaking my keyboard with tears because some young hoodlum has used my fake name without my permission. Boo-hoo...
Sure, GS, 2/3 of those surveyed on the push poll want a public health insurance option until they find out that it will cost them an arm and a leg in new taxes and will provide worse health care than they currently receive.
This thing has not been unveiled in the sunlight yet for what it is and when that happens there will be an uprising that you won't believe. It doesn't have a prayer.
You don't read very much, do you? The public option is being designed to be revenue neutral, ie, no new taxes. If you'd take the time to listen to the plans being discussed, you'd know that.
You have no idea whether the public option will provide better or worse care than now but since the latter premise remains the right wing's sole, most vital excuse for opposing any change to the current, unworkable, inefficient and vastly over-priced system...you fall back on the idea like a well-worn security blanket.
What Americans should rise up about is the fact that right wing ideas and initiatives have failed miserably over the past 30 years and in every area. More, their failed efforts have brought the entire globe to the edge of fiscal insolvency and Americans should now be thinking about ways to prevent them from ever again taking charge, let alone decide what's best for the our health.
Oh yes, thanks for reminding me, GS. It's all the Republicans fault. Every earthquake, fire, flood, and locust plague in the history of the world should be pinned on the Republicans too.
Revenue neutral, huh? I've heard that before. This is going to cost taxpayers a bundle, mark my word. The public option will provide worse care because it will be government run. Hello?
These are the same folks that bring us the never-ending lines at the DMV and the response to natural disasters, like Hurricane Katrina. And you're trying to tell me that the service will be better? A big ho-ho to that!
I didn't say Repubs. And tho the RWers aren't responsible for the earthquakes and locusts, they ARE responsible for the national political culture that resulted in the New Orleans flood and the FUBAR response.
My last visit to the DMV took less than 5 minutes.
In case you haven't noticed, private industry hasn't been doing all that well. Anyone prepared to trust their family's health matters to some accountant at a For-Profit insurer is out of their mind.
GS here is the big question. If Dick Cheney is convicted of breaking the law by lying to Congress should he be waterboarded, sent to Gitmo, or both? Why do you think it is GS that mindless sheep like Atkins and Bubba Kidd claim to be moral but worship the immoral?
The real question America has to ask itself is do we use the tools that the right wing political culture have created by arresting Cheney in secret, holding him indefinitely at a secret location, offer him no trial and torture him for the answers?
That's one of the RWers' lasting gifts to America.
GS,
Since you obviously think the government can do a better job at providing health care than the private and nonprofit sectors, let me ask you this: Is Messiah Obama and all the members of Congress willing to sign up for the government-provided health care plan?
The answer to this question is a resounding "no", I'm afraid. They are all perfectly happy with their elite taxpayer-paid-for plan, thank you very much. They think the rest of us should be required to get on this plan, but they would all be exempted and have no interest in it themselves.
The other thing you conveniently failed to mention (and I can only surmise therefore that you neglected to read the bill) is that if you do opt to stay with your existing health plan and then you lose your job, or change jobs, and therefore lose your health plan, you must sign up for the government provided plan. You can never go back to your private plan after that.
In other words, this whole Obama plan is designed to phase out private sector health care completely. This will happen within 5 - 10 years.
Before popping off next time, maybe you should do some reading yourself.
Funny....BigMouth Beck railed today about how Sotomayor was being handed softball questions at the hearings and went on to show it as proof that the Libs have no intention of asking tough questions. Problem was....there were no questions asked at the hearings today.
Sadly similar to Beck's jumping the gun, there is no health plan bill. It hasn't yet been offered so what you're actually reading (if you really read anything) is someone's take on what they expect to see in a bill when it IS offered. There MAY be a proposal offered as early as this week but it won't read anything like the sort of document that will be delivered to congressional committees for discussion.
Anyways, what you, Beck and all the other RW protectors of the status quo have in common is that you make up whatever it is you need to bolster your weak arguments. You all pull things out of your arses and then repeat them until you believe them. If you'd all use that same energy to help come up with solutions, rather than create ways to obstruct, the Nation would get a lot of good things done.
.
GS said:
"You don't read very much, do you? The public option is being designed to be revenue neutral, ie, no new taxes. If you'd take the time to listen to the plans being discussed, you'd know that."
To which "plan," may I ask, are you referring to? This is the one I have been discussing all along. But, if you want to continue playing your little Abbott and Costello game, I am happy to engage you in that as well.
"...is being designed..." "...the plans being discussed..." Goals are being talked about. Ideas are being exchanged. But there is NO bill. One constant is that the resultant health insurance plan will be revenue neutral. So far NO ONE on the Dem side has proposed that participation in the public option be mandatory, as you stated. Play semantics all you want Cal but the fact remains, you've offered a reason to oppose the public option that doesn't seem to exist anywhere except as a RW talking point.
I'd still like to hear a RW solution to the health insurance problem. Got any?
Richard Nixon was the last Republican to come up with a healthcare plan. It was managed care. Richard Nixon liked managed care because Kaiser Permanente paid him to like it. Kaiser Permanente is the Richard Nixon of healthcare.
Today the Republicans are trying to protect people like Peter Foy and all the insurance salesman.
How many people have died because of Republican greed?
It is sad to read the sheep like comments of someone like Atkins. In terms of healthcare currently 50 cents of ever dollar spent on healthcare does not go to healthcare, it goes to the insurance companies who then pay it out as million dollar bonuses and as campaign contributions. Hysterics like Atkins are easily fooled and turned into loyal sheep by being told healthcare for average Americans is somehow a bad thing and somehow anti-fascist. A government plan would simply mean we get rid of the greedy insurance companies and instead we have 95 cents of every dollar going to healthcare meaning the costs drop for everyone and everyone has access. At the current rate of medical inflation only the richest 1% will be able to afford healthcare within 10 years. Sad that loyal sheep like Atkins carry the water of the richest 1% who look at him like an insect. Also on the Nixon tapes Nixon said "So by signing this law on HMO's they will make a lot of money by reducing healthcare, that sounds like a great idea, they can then give more money to the RNC and spend less on actual care."
Speaking of sheep, the starry-eyed Obamaites like Alaska Bubba are towing the party line on this thing like nobody's business, despite the enormous costs to taxpayers and the impacts on the quality and accessibility of health care for all Americans in the future.
By the way, nobody has the guts to answer my previous question on why Obama and all the members of Congress who are behind this proposal are willing to sign up for it as their health care plan as well. Why is that? This is the question Americans will be asking as this proposal gets more public exposure as it moves forward and will be one of the main reasons it gets rejected.
FYI: Congress & the Prez are covered by federally administered health insurance policies, just like you'll be able to purchase if you wish to dump your HMO.
Oh, so you have the option of paying higher taxes for the single-payer plan that everyone will be able to get free-of-charge and paying additionally to purchase the gold-plated health care plan that Obama and his family have as well as all members of Congress. Such a deal.
Cal,
If your Owen; your parents pay your health insurance premiums; and if your Mike G. your Father in-law pays your health insurance premiums.
I hope you and every Republican that thinks like you get's very very sick very soon so you will understand what America is talking about.
You see, Cal, unlike you I truly believe a kid shouldn't grow up missing a full education and being labeled slow or delinquent becausewhen he was a toddler his Mom couldn't afford the doctor care that would have prevented his eardrums from rupturing. It doesn't happen in Italy, Argentina, Saudi Arabia or anywhere else in the developed world but it happens here too frequently.
I guess that makes me a socialist.
Do the math, Cal. Nationwide, US health care costs twice as much as anywhere in the EU or Canada and provides a third of the coverage. Why is that?
Wow! Hoping people get very sick, very soon, hey Nobody? Now there's a very Christian, charitable attitude for you. You sound like another angry, bitter, liberal pill. You can't get your way, so you wish ill will on those that disagree with you. How childish is that?
My aunt lives in England and she is in dire need of shoulder surgery due to a torn rotator cuff. She's been told she'll have to wait 18 months to schedule her surgery over there. So, she's planning on coming to the U.S. where she's been assured that she can be seen by a surgeon and have her surgery scheduled within 6 weeks. She's fortunate in that her church is picking up most of the tab for the surgery here because she's not insured in the U.S.
But, it just goes to show you how horrible the European and Canadian health care plans are in comparison. I've read and heard about similar nightmare stories in Canada too.
No thanks. I'm happy with my Blue Cross Plan.
Nice video too, Nobody. I see you've been brainwashed by Michael Moore too.
Wow, Cal! Your story is wholly at odds with everyone I know who's visited England, worked there and my several score relatives who live there. Not one has ever had a complaint and all rave about how much better medical care is back on the isle.
Not one of them's had to wait much longer than any elective surgery done here and all of them can't believe that you have to schedule illness visits to your regular doctors days in advance. they're also all amazed that there's no in-home care, here in the states.
It took 3 months for my wife to have thyroid surgery and we're stuck with 20% of the total bill...which I am guessing will come to about $6000. My Liverpool cousin's thyroid surgery was scheduled for two weeks after the specialist ordered the procedure and it cost her...nothing.
A visit to urgent care anywhere in the US could cost an uninsured student well over $1500 for a couple of stitches in the hand. In the EU it would cost nothing.
If you're an uninsured homeowner in the US, a heart attack will likely force you into bankruptcy and foreclosure. In the EU or Canada there's no risk of being tossed out in the cold due to a medical emergency.
For those that can afford Blue Cross, great...keep those plans. For the 50M uninsured, the public option gives them a fighting chance to avoid being trashed by the current system.
Cal,
Playing along with your "story":
Without a church paying; an American wouldn't get the surgery at all.
Make up another story that one didn't work.
Cal,
Who pays for your health insurance? The tax-payers or your parents. Be honest we know you either are on the tax-payers payroll or you don't have a job.
I paid $1,686 a month for my Mothers' insurance. Can you say that? Punk.
The thing about a sheep like Ca Atkins is that they worship their chosen anti-christ Grover Norquist. Norquist is a well known fascist who is funded by tobacco companies and Indian gaming tribes and corporations, just like the VCRCC and Phony Tony and Fraudra Strickland and Peter Wingnut Foy are funded by these same groups. Norquist gets idiots like the Stricklands to sign a pledge they will never vote for a tax increase and in so doing they will not do the job they were hired to do which was to do what is best for the people, in return these brainless fools get money from their overlords at the big tobacco companies. Norquist is also on the Board of the NRA and has close ties to the Christian Coalition and other far right extremist groups. Norquist is basically an America hater who fights for the richest 1% of Americans and by spewing hatred he gets ignorant sheep like Ca Atkins to blindly follow him. You will know if Norquist is successful because the United States will cease to exist and the Constitution will be burned and replaced by a Nazi style dictatorship.
Wow, Bubba, your posts are getting rantier and rantier, striking out at those who out-think you and resorting to lame accusations about following Grover Norquist, etc.
Go ahead and support Obama's socialistic health care plan that will deny you choice and put the government in charge of all your health care decisions. The fact remains that 83% of Americans are completely satisfied with their existing health care plans. I count myself among them.
The issue Americans are concerned about is the rising cost of health care. They want cost containment. So, answer me this. When was the last time the government took over a program and the costs went down?
And the answer is (a drum roll pleas)........................Never!!!
Cal At,
Our healthcare system has become a criminal empire no longer dedicated to helping people.
There is documented proof Kaiser Permanente has killed people while in the commission of a crime. We as a Nation do not choose Greg Totten pick and choose justice.
Bubba,
You are truly the Sarah Palin of the Dennert blog. You have little experience and a big mouth.
*Bubba - Bubba Kidd
Bubba Atkins is not Bubba Kidd.
Please make up your own screen names.
Never thought he was. I think Cal. Atk. is.
It's ludicrous to question government's ability to run a business when so many private companies are either dropping like dominoes, charging unsustainable prices for lousy products & services or being subsidized and bailed out by the same government you so despise. You're also trying to make points by comparing apples to oranges and that doesn't work.
However, it seems the STAR recently reported on how the now county run Santa Paula(?)hospital is now in the black, after being run into insolvency by its private owners. When health insurers were closely regulated not-for-profit concerns they seemed to provide better health care at price everyone could afford. Once the airline and banking industries got out from underneath all that govt regulation...they both failed and had to come back, begging taxpayers to bail them out. Same with the auto industry, the railroad industry, hospitals, transportation. etc etc.
And let's not forget about what a great job all those private firms did during Iraq Reconstruction: virtually a free market, purely capitalist zone and virtually nothing to show for the hundreds of billions of taxpayer money spent on private operations.
The evidence almost suggests that America's capitalism's halcyon days were a result of heavy govt involvement in private industry...doesn't it?
Ca Atkins is obviously a hand puppet of Blue Cross. 83% are satisfied? HAHAHAHA, I guess if you're gonna lie, tell the big lie! Half of the money insurers collect for healthcare goes into their pockets and is never spent on healthcare, any amount they spend on healthcare they declare as a loss! Scammers like Foy are making big bucks by ripping us all off, good try Ca Atkins, but we all see you for the puppet you are. How does it feel to dance on those strings?
It's the middle-men like Peter Foy who are the problem. America's health is bought and sold like oil traders buy and sell oil futures. The price is artificially run up and a person's life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness is held hostage until they get it.
The post office didn't stop UPS from making money. If a private organization can deliver quality at a fair price they will be successful.
What an exaggeration, Nobody. Peter Foy is an astute businessman who is smart enough to know where services are needed and valued by the public who are obviously willing to pay for them too.
Nothing wrong with that, Nobody. It's called the free enterprise system. Ever heard of it?
It's drones like you (probably a government employee) that lack imagination, ingenuity, or an entrepreneurial spirit. Instead, you'd rather go crying to the government to bail you out of your problems.
What a pathetic loser!
Peter Foy is an insurance broker. To me that's a parasite on a leach.
Mike Gibson looked like a fool debating David Adkins and is going to lose a bunch of his father in laws money running for city council of Ventura.
Daniel G. or Owen P. never had a job in their lives not counting stumping for Sarah Palin LOL!!
If you guys are the winners something is really wrong with this world.
Actually, Daniel G. and Owen P. both hold jobs. Bad information here, Nobody.
I think I recall the subject of the debate Brian hosted between David Atkins and Mike Gibson on whether the U.S. is a center-left or center-right nation. It received considerable attention from many well-known blogs and Keith Olberman even made a comment on it, as I recall.
I think Gibson did quite well, actually. He argued his points effectively and had Mr. Atkins backed into a corner a few times. No one can claim a clear victory on a blog debate like that one. It is mostly based on arguing your viewpoint and representing your arguments with historic facts and figures effectively.
In this regard, I would count Gibson the victor.
Oh yeah your right...
They are both Alternative Energy Executives. Tony Strickland had a reality show called "Who wants to be an Alternative Energy Executive" and he liked them both. Now I remember.
And I hear Gibson will be trying to cast himself as an environmentalist in the City Council campaign. I guess he's been taking a few lessons from his buddy, Phony Baloney Tony and the Stepford Wife, Fraudra.
This should be interesting.
Foy an astute business man? HAHAHAHA!!!!! Is that why he had all those liens against him? If Foy has a brain cell I would be surprised! Punks like Foy and Gibson get all their funding from the Christian Coalition and from tobacco companies, the Christian Coalition has no problem with tobacco companies killing americans and getting children to smoke as long as they get their cut of the profits! Word on the street is that Palin quit because the oil companies offered her millions to go out and lie for them. I can't wait for Foy to run for higher office and then for the video to surface that shows him shoulder to shoulder with Skinheads outside the UCC in Simi!
Religious organizations should not be involved in politics. They should be involved only when a political party proclaims being Christian then kidnaps, tortures, and kills innocent people. Then they should say something and go back to Jesus.
The Osborn-Kunicki-Gibson-Strickland machine has got so much money funneling in so many different directions it would take a team of CPA's to figure it out. That's the name of the game for these sell-outs.
They think if they can pump enough cash into a candidate they can do a good job of bamboozling the voters. Sorry, guys, we're on to you now. The public has had the wool pulled over their eyes long enough with the likes of Foy, Phony & Fraudra!
