I have been hearing rumors that Ventura County Community College Board of Trustees Member Bob Huber is considering running for Mayor of Simi Valley in 2010. Bob Huber is an ally of Rep. Gallegly and a long time supporter of local charities. He is a partner in local personal injury law firm Huber & Takasugi.
I have already reported that Current city council members Barbra Williamson and Steve Sojka have also expressed interest in running.

All these former teachers, who never paid a dime of social security....because all 300,000 california teachers are exempt....always want to sit on school boards
When I was at Ventura College - we had a Students for Academic Freedom club and NONE of the Ventura County Board of Trustees defended the students rights for academic freedom. There was a great opportunity to ensure that students weren't indoctrinated in the classroom against teacher's personal and political views and it was squealched. This was about 3 or 4 years ago. Only Larry Miller bothered to visit us.
I say it's time for the Simi Valley tax-payers to take their city back. No more old boy’s network. No more kickbacks for contracts to Orange County companies. No more shaking down the local business owners.
Keep Simi Valley's tax dollars in Simi Valley. Get rid of the criminal network running Simi Valley. Don't vote for anybody endorsed by Elton Gallegly.

Huber is not just a pal of Gallegly, he was his campaign treasurer for years.

Glad to see Mickey is really starting lock up this vote. I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant when I first heard his name mentioned but it seems like he has a rather large following. I know who has my vote!

I am continually disappointed by both Republicans and Democrats. It is time somebody with the fortitude, girth and beard of a wooly mammoth takes charge of our city. I hope Mickey embraces his local popularity and pursues a political career. Mickey, consider this a calling.
Two out of three isn't bad. Have you considered Barbra Williamson? Barbra Williamson would be a healthy step forward for Simi Valley and it's future.
