Michael Moore + Tea Party People?

Michael Moore in his latest movie, Capitalism: A love story, is going after big banks, bailouts, and corporate influence on our government.

Is it enough to get the Tea Party people to become fans of his?

Are you going to see the movie?

I don't see many movies in theaters anymore but when it is out on Netflix I will check it out.

Don't make fools of yourselves by supporting this confused, insane idiot. The candidates he supports are the very ones who are in the pockets of these people. He is a big fat idiot.

He is also against YOUR capitalism too.... not just the capitalism that has connected with the government.

Some of the Tea Perty oppose this bill (from LATimes):

Measure AB 764 would prohibit counselors who advertise heavily with official-looking direct mail, from collecting any payment until after a client's mortgage is modified successfully and monthly payments are reduced.

The 9/12 crowd brags they are nonpartisan but when someone releases a movie going after the government for the bailouts they trash him?

Just shows they are conservative Republican activists.

Mister (I use that term loosely) Moore's latest screed would be more properly entitled: ‘Corporatism, a love story’, for corporatism, not capitalism, is what he rails against. Free market capitalism has provided Moore the abundance that frees him to make this…this…well, a word that I am not allowed to publish here. If he was only honest enough to admit the truth and, moreover, identify what is truly the problem, this Libertarian Tea Partier might even join him in (on?) his railing (sometimes I just crack myself up).

Oh, and need I remind everyone of Moore’s hypocrisy? Naw, didn’t think so…

Corporate influence = bribes

Bribe givers = people in business

Bribe takers = government folk and their political campaigns

Will moore become a Tea Party guy?

Why? Right wing nutjobs worship their big fat idiot Rush Limbaugh.

Talk about confused?

Both Moore and Limbaugh are americans first

Why would he join a right wing group of Glenn Beck fans?

Little-noticed headline...

"Microsoft, Apple And Others Agree To Bar Troublesome Users From Using Their Operating Systems"

The two companies have reached a deal that would shut off the computers and forever deny their products and services to those customers who they deem troublesome. Referring to those users who have a history of using the system providers' tech support lines, MS spokesperson stated, "We are blessed to be part of a great capitalist system, one which allows us to offer the finest product to the most users. It is unfortunate that some users are tech-challenged and must be dropped so that we can provide a higher quality of service to the rest of our customers." The practical effect of the companies' new policy will be to create a second class of consumer that will not have access to the internet.

Is this the sort of capitalist world you want?

Well then they'd have to acquire a copy of Red Hat Linux - FOR FREE - then whip the-single-fingered-sign-of-disrespect to Jobs and Gates. Ain't free-market capitalism a wondrous thing?

Moron!

Sorry, SoSueMe but Red Hat is already a party to the deal and has also chosen to do an IPO and will soon become beholden to its shareholders. The next version of LINUX will cost the same as Windows 7.

On a related topic...and this is no parody...a group of GOP congressional capitalists want to let ATT, Verizon and other big IPs decide what you can access on the internet. Apparently these House members feel that America can't fully enjoy their internet experience if EVERY provider was forced to treat all that internet data equally, so they want to squash the Net Neutrality Bill that would prevent those poor, wealthy big IPs from making more money off you by controlling what you can and can't see on the Web. They'd like those big IPs to be able to carve the country up into a few big data domains that only they and they alone control.

Sometimes it seems as if the faster capitalism races into the future....the more it starts to look like feudalism.

Michael Moore has been hit or miss, and lately its been mostly miss. I really liked Bowling for Columbine, everything since has seemed to be mostly cleverly-edited propaganda. If you really want to know what is going on with the economy and the bailout listen to N[erd]PR's Planet Money (podcast on MonWedFri) and draw your own conclusions about capitalism, money, the fed, etc. I've learned more from that podcast than all the econ classes I ever took.
