The Ventura Government Center Tea Party drew together many local conservative / libertarian activists and local Republican politicians looking for their support. This picture has State Assembly candidate Daniel Goldberg and County Supervisor candidate Audra Strickland meeting. Daniel Goldberg posted it online. If you are interested in his campaign he updates his Facebook page frequently with his latest news.

The Republican primary campaign is between him and Strickland consultant Mike Stoker. The winner will be face off against either Susan Jordan or Das Williams in a district that heavily tilts towards Democrats.

Daniel Goldberg started off his campaign by saying he was a moderate that represents a Republican Party that can win in California. Now is trying to appeal to the more conservative elements of his own party.

Daniel,

You can't be a moderate and praise people that say:

"I have no idea whether or not he's a citizen," Bonney said.

She doesn't budge on this. When told that Hawaiian newspapers carried birth announcements for Obama, she counters that Kenyans believe he was born there.

"I don't really know," she said. "That's pure speculation, I don't get involved in that."

She claims to not know if Barack Obama is a US Citizen. Local Tea Party rallies often have signs with the Soviet Hammer and Sickle with Barack Obama. Their website has captions on pictures that falsely smear the commander in chief stating he won't salute the flag.

Does none of that offend you?

By the way, did you mention to them you supported Barack Obama?

This isn't the campaign I expected from you. There is time between now and June to show you are truly a moderate Republican. Use it.

www.factcheck.org has held the birth certificate and the pictures are on their website with the raised seal, etc.
Also, the birth announcement from the newspaper that was put in the paper by the hospital.

Mark Lunn is a proud Tea Party member and probably doesn't believe Barack Obama is a citizen either. That's just the kind of guy you want in charge of keeping public records.

Jeez - that is an embarrassing quote from Carla B. And it proves that these tea parties do have an agenda.

Remember Oklahoma City!

I don't think it's a good year to run for partisan office as a moderate. It IS a good year to be grassroots and conservative. Goldberg is running a grassroots campaign, and he's hanging out with the conservatives. May not be a bad strategy.

Eric,

Do you know who you want to win this primary? He is trying to be all things to all people. He supported Barack Obama for president and now he is campaigning with someone that says Barack Obama might not be a citizen.

He's not exactly "campaigning with someone that says Barack Obama might not be a citizen." He showed up at a Tea Party event and waved his sign. That doesn't mean he endorses all the diverse views of all 1,500 people that were there. If one immediately assumes all the characteristics of people they work with, that would make it impossible to be a centrist, right?

It's better to judge what believes by their actions, and how they react to the actions of others.

I don't want to make a public endorsement of either candidate here. I generally vote for the person that will move the country a small step in the direction of where I want it to be, provided they're not bad human beings in the personal lives.

Given "all the diverse views of all 1,500 people that were there," what exactly are the actual shared experience, viewpoints and goals of those who say that are part of the Tea Party events? I have talked to several and get very different answers from most people with whom I speak.

It is a fact that McCain was born in Panama, not America. Had McCain been elected he had a deal with us in Panama to turn control of the United States over to Panama! Only the election of Obama stopped our plan to take over! In Panama we drink coffee, only little girls drink tea!

Katie-

Are you saying tea party members will kill innocent Americans?

Tea Party memebers, for the most part, support Bush. Bush was not conservative. The majority of the Tea Partiers are faux conservatives.

True conservatives in this day and age understand we need to stop the wars, let the boys (all over the world) come home and begin to address our own problems here.

We don't have the money, or the energy, to continue running a global empire. Eventually it will all lead to COLLPASE. It happened to the Soviet Union snd we are following the same path.

How long can empires live beyond their means?

Now you've confirmed it, Art. You have officially joined the ranks of the Hollywood elite. The hypocritical limousine liberals who fly to the Academy Awards in their Lear jets from Aspen and Manhattan and then drive the 3 blocks to the Kodak Theater in their rented Priuses to show that they care about the environment.

You are spewing the same venomous garbage that Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Danny Glover, Rosie O'Donnell, and John Stewart are famous for. How does it feel to be one of the beautiful people?

For the record, I still do support the President.

Are you serious, Daniel? Well, I guess you're not serious about winning the nomination then.

Sean Penn...LOL LOL LOL...I guess I would have to watch Jon Stewart to know what you mean.

I hate Bush and Obama! And Clinton and Reagan, but most of all I hate the BANKERS!!!!!

I am quite beautiful, thanks for the compliment, but I do not consider myself a liberal democrat or conservative republican.

I appreciate the first and second amendments. Does that make me a terrorist too?

Goldberg-

Why do you support the President?

Art, why do you support Arab terrorists by being a 911 denier?

you never even tried to argue against the architects and engineers for 9.11 truth.

www.ae911truth.org

when you don't have the truth on your side you are forced to make personal attacks. you are only capable of name calling and you are incapable of intellectual dialogue.

i think people can see through your insecurities now.

p.s. are you going to call me a holocaust denier and anti-semitic next?

I read their "theory" and it's full of enough holes to drive a tank through. For one thing, they spend a lot of time talking about the temperature at which steel melts. This has been debunked numerous times by reputable scientists and engineers who make the case that the steel doesn't actually have to "melt" for the structure to fail, it only has to lose its physical integrity enough to cause the structure to collapse.

They are constantly grasping for straws throughout their whole article and the "Popular Mechanics" rebuttal article is but one source that counters their theories with sound facts and scientific evidence. So, you're wrong. I (and others, like Bubba Kidd) have argued against their faulty theory previously. You have just refused to acknowledge it.

On your comment about being a Holocaust denier and anti-Semite, you said it, not me.

Oh, I almost forgot, turn off Jesse Ventura for a while and read a thing or two...

"it only has to lose its physical integrity enough to cause the structure to collapse"

You do know that the buildings collapsed at free fall speed don't you? If a building collapses into itself at free fall speed don't you think the structural integrity would need to be removed from the bottom up? The "pancake theory" defies the laws of physics. A gradual pancake collapse would have taken a lot longer than 11 seconds.

I do not watch Gov. Ventura's show and have not read his books.

Here you go quoting yellow journalism at it's finest, Popular Mechanics again. I guess you are brain dead because if you paid attention to anything I've said you would know that I wrote this about Popular Mechanics last time you mentioned it:

"Popular Mechanics: Owned by Hearst Publications, creator of yellow journalism and the famous Frederic Remington sketch of a white woman being strip searched by male officials from Spain, when everything was quiet in Cuba. "You furnish the pictures, I'll furnish the war."

Sound familiar?"

Hearst Publications have been deceiving the American people for over 100 years. It's the first thing I learned getting my undergrad in journalism. Why should the American people take their word for it?

Arty, my friend, you keep digging yourself into a deeper hole every time you post. So, now you're alleging that the Hearst family is behind the cover-up, eh? Ooooh-boooy! I'm speechless.

I guess I gave you too much credit for being a Jesse Ventura fan. Perhaps, you're more of a follower of Davis Ickes. Remember him?

"David Icke's --BBC reporter-- claims that humanity is actually under the control of dinosauroid-like alien reptiles who must consume human blood to maintain their human appearance."

If the Hearst Corporation was creating controversy for war, and deceiving the American people over 100 years ago, what makes you think they would stop?

More evidence against Popular Mechanics(PM):

In the months prior to the release of the article on which the book was based, a radical change in PM's personnel was orchestrated by the president of Hearst Magazines, Cathleen P. Black. Black is married to Thomas E, Harvey, who has worked for the CIA, the DOD and the US Information Agency. (CIA media connection and perception management)

"In September of 2004, Joe Oldham, the magazines former editor in chief, was replaced by James B. Meigs. In October a new creative director replaced PM's 21 year veteran who was given 90 minutes to clear out his office." In each of the following six months three to four more people were similarily dismissed.

In addition, the senior researcher for the article is 25 year old Benjamin Chertoff, a cousin of DHS head Michael Chertoff. Benny boy was hired to work on an article that supported the very same interpretation of 9.11 that led to the creation of the department ran by his older cousin.

CIA and DHS connections to the article defending the official 9.11 conspiracy theory, too many coincidences for me.

p.s. I have not even started to educate you on the WAR GAMES coinciding with the attacks on 9.11!

I have no idea what David Icke preaches.

Since you have failed many times trying to label me I'll do it for you:

I subscribe to liberty, honesty and integrity with a mix of MLK, Malcom X, Fred Hampton, Gandhi, Larken Rose, Mike Ruppert, Dmitry Orlov, Thomas Paine and George Orwell.

All your Hearst Corporation garbage is classic Jesse Ventura rant material. Your credibility is now at an all-time low, Art.

The list of the people you subscribe to includes a couple of notable conspiracy-theorists. Most of George Orwell's predictions in "1984" never came to pass. Mike Ruppert is another well-known conspiracy-obsessed wack job. His unsubstantiated, fringe rants about the 911 attacks and peak oil are downright laughable.

Give me something to work with here, Arty, please.

Why would my credibility be at an all time low for expressing facts about a main stream media conglomerate? Why should we trust the main stream media? I get more information on a blog like this than reading, listening or watching FOX, CNN MSNBC and the VC Star..

China is the most Orwellian place on Earth.

Roger Ebert had this to say about Ruppert's movie "Collapse":

"I can only tell you I have a pretty good built-in B.S. detector, and its needle never bounced off zero while I watched this film.

I don't know when I've seen a thriller more frightening. I couldn't tear my eyes from the screen. "Collapse" is even entertaining, in a macabre sense. I think you owe it to yourself to see it."

To call Ruppert's work unsubstantiated is downright laughable.

Now Art is aligning himself with Roger Ebert as his best source of information. LMAO!!! You just can't stay away from those Hollywood-types, can you Art?

You need to get out more, Art, and turn off "Access Hollywood" for a while. Bwahhahahahhahahaha!!!!!!!
