I have an open call for nominations of great campaign volunteers. If you would like to honor a volunteer on a campaign send me a short nomination with a photograph.

Brian Sipes was elected to the Fillmore City Council. Here is his nomination of a critical volunteer:

I am proud to nominate my campaign manager Gayle Washburn. Gayle handled everything; all mailers, newspaper ads and inserts, as well as community relations. We had minimal volunteers which made it more challenging.

Thank you,
Brian Sipes

Thanks Brian Sipes!

Brian,

What has your schedule looked like now that you have been elected?

Mr.Dennert,

On Tuesday,December 14,2010,I will be sworn in as a City Council member. Since the election results have been certified, I've been in constant contact with City Hall in order to make a smooth transition. My schedule excluding running a business, has been busy to say the least. Having been at most City Council meetings and subcommittee meetings throughout the years, I've learned to manage my time accordingly to fit City responsibilities and to run a successful business.

The City of Fillmore is very fortunate to have a City Manager that communicates well with staff and its elected officials so we can work on behalf of our constituents.

All the Best,

Brian Sipes
Fillmore City Council Member-Elect.
