It Gets Better.

( UK Prime Minister David Cameron sharing that It Gets Better. I look forward to the day American conservatives join him.)

I like Eric Ingemunson's blog. I also find him to be a decent person. He mostly has a predictable conservative Republican opinion but sometimes he really surprises me. It is important that we learn from people we agree with and from those that challenge our views.

I am a huge fan of Reason Magazine and Christopher Hitchens. It is good for democracy for us to understand each other, even if we don't agree. I know that Eric feels the same way.

I was disappointed in Eric Ingemunson's recent blog post. It started with this offensive and misleading headline:

Planned Parenthood finds Ventura County gay sex ed lacking

The headline would make you think Planned Parenthood was promoting the instruction of how to perform sexual acts. Instead they meant an inclusive discussion, as mandated by state law, of human sexuality.

Eric then has this quote from the article:

Furthermore, Planned Parenthood noted that "only six districts completely cover healthy image, which includes sexual orientation, gender roles, self-esteem, and positive body image."

Which he then adds this line of analysis:

It sounds like our schools aren't pandering to homosexuals enough.

Eric if you think high schools are too inclusive of young gay people I am not sure what to tell you.

High school can be a horrible time for many kids, especially gay kids. Young people can feel like they aren't accepted by their friends, family, and community. A common insult that is acceptable to many people is to call someone or something gay.

I know you were focusing your attention on the groups the Republican Party has been opposed to like Planned Parenthood. I know there are many extreme gay rights groups and I don't expect you to accept their agenda as I don't either. Most gay people don't attend gay pride parades just as most straight people don't go to Mardi Gras.

But how about we agree to post a few videos from the It Gets Better campaign?

The It Gets Better campaign is a grassroots idea to remind young people that life can get much better. The messages are especially poignant to young gay people but the message is true for young people trying to get through tough times because of other reasons too.

Eric Ingemunson feels confident making anti-gay comments because The Star's lawyer has so much experience defending his anti-gay comments...

*You can delete this comment but you can't delete it's truthieness.

Here is a comment by Ron Bamieh in reference to a photo of Katie Teague and her amazingly beautiful daughter on Steven Hint'z Facebook.

(RON BAMIEH: Thank god you explained that photo I thought you were coming out for a second).

Eric Ingemunson saw what Mr. Bamieh wrote and feels comfortable being critical of the rights of gay people. Maybe someone someday might read Eric's comments and act out. Also Ron Bamieh is he head of the Chamber of Commerce for the Conejo Valley. What if a HR Director of a large corporation made that comment?

The Star allows these people to continue working here. A large corporations with intelligent leadership would do the right thing.

A nice save would be: "I made a dumb joke I now realize how dumb it was. I'm a better lawyer than a comedian. Sorry for being insensitive".

Eric Ingemunson is the Anti-comment. Be afraid... Be very afraid.

Everybody (and all of his other namesakes on Dennert's extremely partisan blog) has an unhealthy obsession with Eric Ingemunson. Perhaps he was denied snacks when he was in kindergarten for being a naughty little boy. Or maybe he is simply extremely insecure at his lowly place in life that causes him to overcompensate with blog names like "Everybody." I tell you, Freud would have a field day...

Terry (aka Teabagger tom, only plan, etc etc) has had to over compensate for his very shortcoming since he was 13. You are right that Freud would have a field day with you! Since you like Eric Ingemunson so much go hang out on his right wing whacko blog, no one on this blog would miss you or you incoherent rants about how you love being a GOP sheep. LOL!!!!!

Eric Ingemunson; and those like him, seem to find enjoyment depriving people of their civil rights. Eric Ingemunson appears to want people to pay the VCRCC to see a debate between Audra Strickland (who has spoiled herself at the tax-payers expense her whole adult life) and Linda Parks. Americans shouldn't be made to pay to hear their representives speak for any reason.

Eric Ingemunson and the VCRCC seem to be asking the American people to finance their unAmerican activities.

I apologize to those who have the desire to manipulate our democratic system for their own extravagent personal wants you should seek professional help.

The Ventura County Star has fallen on hard times and they have responded by firing all the talented people and replacing them with Ron Bamieh and Eric Ingemunson types in a effort to save money. All we can do know is watch as the Ventura County Star goes into a death spiral.

Everybody/C Street/etc., etc., you love looking through those rose-colored glasses, don't you? You're an ignoramus. Ron Bamieh runs laps around you and your weird obsession with Eric Ingmemunson is bordering on John Hinkley/Mark David Chapman territory.

Is that your defense? Stop hanging around Ron.

I hate Eric Ingemunson for his tax-paid snacks and fun activities.

Everybody's eyes glaze over as he reads another splendidly understated witticism delivered by your truly. Nothing to say but a lame retort directed at two of his most closely observed arch-enemies: Ron Bamieh and Eric Ingemunson.

I have nothing further to say except that these strange obsessions can be harmful to your mental health (not that Everybody is riding the tide there anyway). See, there I go again, amazing myslef...

Terry has nothing left to say because once again he is OWNED!

I would be more than happy to hear Ron Bamieh; our President of the Chamber of Commerce, provide a valid defense. I can only assume Ron Bamieh; the President of our Chamber of Commerce is a homophobic.

It is not o.k. for the VCRCC to charge the tax-payers for things the tax-payers already paid for. Please explain to me how that is a moral thing to do.

If I was Ron Bamieh or Eric Ingemunson I would defend myself. Can either provide reasonable doubt to these charges? Do they need more time?

I think if either had a valid defense we would of heard it by now.

All Ron Bamieh's Father's money and he can't buy a clue.

Terry's got plenty to say, GOP! Ron Bamieh is not going to waste his time responding to your childish rants. Eric Ingemunson has way more class than to roll around in the mud with you GOP/Everybody/C Street/and the list goes on....

Eric Ingemunson is too busy posting blog topics on his blog that no one goes on to respond to this charge! And Terry is too busy making up fake names to blog under and too busy drinking koolaide to think for himself!

Todd/Terri/GOP/C Street/Everybody is too busy concocting fairy tales about Ron Bamieh and Eric Ingemunson (his secret lover) to actually make any intelligent comments on Dennert's wildly liberal blog. You know, now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if Brian Dennert himself isn't posting under all these fake names just to drum up business on his blog. It's always the same old tripe being regurgitated over and over again, with Brian's name rarely appearing on a comment. Hmmmmmm......

Terry aka Teabagger Tom, is helping to make the Brian Dennert blog the continuing number one blog on the Star! Thank you for only blogging here Tom and for not blogging on the far right extremist Inge blog. Your support is greatly appreciated. Your posts also entertain us the same way the Court Jester of old would entertain the King and their Court as they dined. You are OWNED, and we appreciate that!

Hey Todd, you must be constantly checking the Eric Ingemunson and Daniel Goldberg sites if you're claiming that no one posts there. The strange obsession continues...

It's too much fun owning your ass on this site to think about going elsewhere, Todd. Let the owning continue...

I check out the Inge blog whenever I want to hear the sound of crickets and I like the Dennert Blog to see how teabagger tom (aka Terry and 10 other fake names) gets constantly OWNED! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Yeah, you know you hang out on Ingemunson's and Goldberg's blogs to get real information, Terri/GOP/C Street/Brian/Everybody, etc. All Dennert has is which candidate has the cutest dog, which was the best rap song this month, and how many different ways can I think of to bash Tony and Audra Strickland.

It's getting old, Dennert. So are all your fake names...
