Lakshman Achuthan, the managing director of the Economic Cycle Research Institute (ECRI), an independent economic forecasting group, was on CNBC Friday morning and he had the hosts cringing. Achutan said "a vicious circle has started," and that "we're not going to escape" a double-dip recession.

The ripple effect of Obama's inability to do anything right when it comes to the economy will come home to roost for Democratic candidates in California (which has the highest unemployment rate in the country).

The Republican candidate debates have been very lively and spirited so far. This is as it should be. It is important to get the issues out in the open and have these kinds of discussions so the voters get a sense of where each of the candidates stand on them. So far, they've been doing just that.

We don't believe in consecrating a candidate, like the Dims did in 2008, when the vat of Kool-Aid was circulated and every Dimocrat in the country took a long swig from it. Right now he's traversing around the country trying to sell his lame "Economic Stimulus II" package, which will be just as ineffective as "Economic Stimulus I" was.
