Looks like the Occupy Wall Street fanatics are experiencing a major drop in attendance at their recent rallies and sit-ins. A couple of hundred protesters participated in a march near Wall Street yesterday. This is compared to several thousand at previous demonstrations.

WTC 7 collapsing in on itself at free fall speed and was not hit by an airplane. In fact, FEMA admitted that the best possible explanation it could come up with had only a "low probability of occurrence." Is the SupCourt about to slap a 12.5% tax on non-union employees? If it goes ahead and strikes down mandatory work breaks, as it appears to be arguing, US employers will be able to hire only those workers who agree to forgo an hour or so of their workday breaks...at no extra cost to the employer. It's a "tax" that's taken out of workers' pockets and is placed directly into the bank accounts of employers.

In practical terms, it means an employer would get an extra, unpaid hour of work out of those workers unable to resist the boss's demands. In union workplaces this isn't so much of a problem because of collective bargaining rights but God help the little guy who has no one to fight for him.

A lot of the budget problems that higher education institutions are facing today are a result of State legislators not addressing their State budget woes in a more aggressive manner. The State of California is notorious for exceeding its budgeted revenues by expenditures for how many years now? At least two decades.

So, instead of dealing with the issues before them at budget time, they just kicked the can down the road and let the next governor deal with it. Thus, we have endless budget shortfalls in CA State government. It seems to me that we need to cut some more.

I'd really like to know how you expect OWS to "win." What would they be "winning" exactly? Is your definition of "winning" the same as Charlie Sheen's (i.e., continuing to use drugs with impunity)? Or, is it when our country completely changes over to Socialism under Obama and the OWS thugs? Do you consider that winning?

Does a newspaper headline "win" or "lose"? All OWS is attempting is to focus the national dialogue on the inequities of our economic system and to that purpose they seem to be successful.

Rush Limbaugh uses drugs with impunity. Rick Perry appears to use them during debates. Most TPers use drugs of one sort or another, so what do the use of drugs by a minority of attendees at an OWS rally mean?

If the transfer and redistribution of wealth has anything to do with Socialism, then it's clear that the GOP socialists have been acting out the very definition of the term by transferring the wealth of middle class America to the richest 1%. This is where the OWSers are focusing their effort: on this collusion between Congress and the rich that is sucking Americans dry.

I see where one of the OWS gangster thugs went on a shooting spree at the Oakland OWS camp, killing an 18-year-old boy. Nice! And this is just the latest display of violence and thuggery we've seen from this out of control mob.

And these are the people we're supposed to be relying on to represent our needs and interests before our elected and business leaders?

Mayor Jean Quan declared it to be a hazard to public health and safety and authorized the police to do what they needed to do to roust these hooligans up and escort their sorry asses out of there. It sounds like their next stop will be Snow Park in Oakland, which is also becoming a cesspool for thugs and criminals to thrive in.

San Francisco officials are also starting to get fed up with these loonies and have announced that people camped out there need to start folding up their tents and moving out of the parks. The freak factor in San Fransisco being what it is, there will undoubtedly be some hoodlum scum who will try and fight with the police. I'd advise the riot police to bring their heavy clubs, mace, pepper spray, and taser guns, and real guns. It seems that these are the only thing these idiots understand.

Thank God! Now the plaza can once again return to being a filthy, crime-ridden haven for drug deals, murders, gang fights and other violence.

Now the spoiled, rich students at UC Berkeley are setting up a tent city on campus and chanting that a college education should be free. This is just another glaring example of the sense of entitlement that exists among these OWS loonies. There was also a shooting between one of these loony tunes and police on campus. Great!

And President Obama thinks the OWS movement represents America. This is something he has said he can get behind - Mr. Entitlement himself.

The newly elected Mayor of San Francisco, Ed Lee, took a tour of the OWS encampments in his city today and said he was very disappointed at what he saw. He said the sites were extremely unsanitary and were hurting the City's business and tourism climates.

Time to fold up the tents and get back to whatever you were doing before this whole OWS b.s. started, which was probably nothing from what I gather.

How many tents does it take to equal one rifle shot at the White House? Or how many shouts for free education equal the tens of thousands of improperly foreclosed homes? And how many loonies, a half mile away from the protesters, equal a crippled congress person and her dead aide?

Can you tell me specifically what the OWS mob wants? If they're saying free college education (like at UC Berkeley), we all know that's never going to happen. Without tuition and fees, all of our state universities and community colleges would have to close down. Are they suggesting that we raise taxes to provide this "free education?" Remember, nothing is free. Someone will end up paying for it and it's not fair to dump it on all the taxpayers (many of whom don't have kids enrolled in college and some of whom don't have kids at all). It's a ridiculous argument and it will never happen.

Are they saying the government (again, the taxpayers) should bail people out of foreclosing on their homes? Don't they realize that most of the people who got into these loans should never have gotten into them in the first place? They do share some of the responsibility here.

The guy who was shot at the Oakland encampment was part of the OWS movement. His family has confirmed this. And the two shooters that the police are looking for also spent a lot of time in the encampment. It definitely needed to be shut down for the public's health and safety.

There's really nothing to understand. These occupiers don't have any platform, formalized agenda, or purpose. They're all over the map with what they're saying. Yeah, the Tea Party candidates may have lost in the Ventura City Council race, but they'd have done much better if the election was held in an even-numbered year like most "real" city governments do.

Like every other municipality and state, Ventura's problems stem from decades of Republican mismanagement of our fiscal affairs and the economy. With over $25B in tax cuts in CA, not a single middle class taxpayer is paying LESS taxes: it's all gone to BigBiz, Oil, Real Estate and Bond Brokers.

The fact is that the Ventura City Council has made bad decision after bad decision that have dragged the City's finances to the brink of ruin. We're closing fire stations and libraries and letting our streets and parks go to hell while at the same time approving pension spikes for firefighters and losing $10 million in risky investment schemes.

And what do we do? We elect a new Council member who has the same overly-generous attitude toward public employee unions as the rest of this train wreck of a City Council. Cheryl Heitmann got every union endorsement and campaign contribution possible in her candidacy for City Council and now she's on the hook for big payback.

Look for more pension hikes for City employees in the not to distant future.

Are you going to deny that Bush borrowed $12Tr for his NeverEnding War? Would you deny that in CA Republicans sponsored the VRF waiver that created an instant $6B deficit, simply to get Schwarzenoggin elected (after six years of that we ended up with a $36B deficit)?
