The Democratic Campaign Council and the Courage Campaign present Courage Academy. How can you lead others if they don't know who you are, where you come from, and what your values are? Mastering the art of public narrative allows you to establish firm ground with your constituency in which to collaborate, lead and find common purpose. Each of us has a story to tell that can move others to action. "Story of Self" is the first part of a public narrative where you will learn to convey why you are called to leadership in your movement.New leaders across the world have been trained in this approach to movement building developed by Marshall Ganz, a professor at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. This model served as the basis for "Camp Obama," a training program credited with creating the organizing base that was integral to the campaign's success. It has since been used successfully to empower leaders internationally and across a variety of social movements and causes.
Courage Academy is a one-day leadership workshop focused on preparing a new generation of organizers to build a movement for progressive reform in California.

Poll: Obama bests GOP frontrunners
(CNN) - President Barack Obama tops the Republican presidential frontrunners in hypothetical head-to-head matchups, according to a new survey.
The ABC/Washington Post Poll indicated Obama is ahead of Mitt Romney, 51% to 45%, among registered voters. The new figure is the first time Obama cracked 50% against the former Massachusetts governor in the survey. He received 46% to Romney's 47% in mid-January.
Thanks Brian for promoting this important training. It is well worth the time to attend.
