Mayor Bob Huber continues to hold town hall meetings

I haven't agreed with many of the priorities Mayor Bob Huber has chosen but I am glad he continues to hold town hall meetings. Does your Mayor hold town hall meetings?

Bob Huber has announced he intends to run for re-election. Do you think he will face serious competition? The last campaign between Steve Sojka and Bob Huber was among the competitive election for Mayor in Simi Valley that I remember. It would be great to watch Bob Huber make the case of why he has deserves re-election and why his priorities have helped Simi Valley.

Who do you want to run against him? I have heard that Glen Becerra has been considering running.

Steve Sojka and Barbra Williamson are also up for election if they run again.

I believe Williamson although is a woman, is an outdated leader with old ideas. Sojka is out for personal reasons. The incumbents and the other current City council members created a mess in our City. We need some new blood to bring our city into the real world new economy.

Mark Littleton, who came and introduced himself to my Husband and I at sushi the other night was very articulate and brought up some good points about what the long time members of our City Council have done to our city and continue to do. Mark was born and raised in Simi Valley. I encourage you to email him or even call him. He gave us his card which lists his phone number and email address. Very sincere guy. He has my vote for council.

The Mayor's race is another shoe-in for Huber. Look at the city council meeting minutes online. It is an hours worth of all of them patting each other on the back for substandard civil service. We need new blood get them all out of there and start anew.

Concerned but hopeful the rest of the voters in SV can actually think outside of the box this year.

Hey Brian! It's been awhile. I know Steve is running again for city council, as well as Huber again for mayor in a re-election. I was just interested in who Huber was supporting for candidates for city council? Do you know? Although I am going to school outside of Simi, I will be sure to vote as a write in for local politics!

Thanks,
Kyle Quiroz
