What type of Republican is State Senate candidate Todd Zink?

( Rep. Buck McKeon, Conservative talk show host Larry Elder, State Senate candidate Todd Zink, and Rep. Allen West. Posted on Todd Zink's campaign Facebook page.)

I was surprised to see this picture of Todd Zink with controversial right wing Representative Allen West.

Click here to read some of the extreme statements by Rep. Allen West.

I usually expect that a Republican in a district like this would be trying to appeal to more moderate voters.

If Todd Zink's campaign emails me a single position that they claim shows that he is a moderate Republican I will post it on the front page.

Todd Zink is a great Republican candidate! He came out ahead of Fran Pavley (51% - 49%) in the June 5 primary election. I'm looking forward to Todd bringing this seat back into the GOP column in November!

Actually as the L.A. votes are counted the gap is narrowing, 49.1 to 50.9 now, also democrats stayed home in June since Obama has Ca all wrapped up by 25 points over Romney. In November dems will come out as always and Pavley will crush Zink. Zink is not ready for prime time and given what is going on we don't need an amateur trying to represent us and not being able to get anything done because he's in the minority party and has no clue as to what he is doing.

Neither of you addressed my post. What type of Republican is he?

Todd is a conservative Republican, no question about it. Probably a lot like a Rick Santorum in many ways.

We need someone who will represent the taxpayers in Sacramento. And that person is not a flaming liberal like Fran Pavley. She is part of the problem in Sacramento today. She's beholden to the public employee unions, the special interests, and the State bureaucrats rather than the people she's supposed to be representing - you and I.

We are tired of $20 billion budget deficits, influence-peddling lobbyists, and unions that have a vice grip on the elected Democrats in Sacramento today.

We need fresh ideas and people who have actually lived in the real world, run businesses, and know how to make tough choices. Not some career politician like Fran Pavley.

I look forward to having Todd Zink represent me in Sacramento!

Zink is beholden to oil companies, tobacco and every kind of dirty money out there. His first endorser was Tony Strickland, king of the ill-gotten campaign cash. Don't count on him to represent the middle class, only the monied elite.

The problem in Sacramento today is that the Republicans will not work with the Democrats to get things done.

Pavley was a middle school teacher by profession, the first mayor of Agoura Hills and an Assemblywoman. The LA Times called her a model lawmaker. We need more with her kind of integrity in Sacramento. She's honest and hard working and has authored groundbreaking legislation in many arenas.

Yeah, like I said, Pavley's been feeding off the public trough her entire life. It's no wonder we have never-ending problems with the State budget. Put a bureaucrat in charge and that's what you get.

Democrats in Sacramento have no problem accomplishing things without Republican support. For years, they've passed fantasy budget after fantasy budget and now they're in complete control with only 50% (+1) required to pass the State budget. You can expect more of the same if Pavley gets reelected.

We need new leadership, not stale, out of touch, career politicians like Fran Pavley. Vote for Zink for the change we need in Sacramento!

Once again the idiot above cannot even figure out how to post on here without posting twice! No wonder the Ventura Tea Party could not even get a parking meter ban on the ballot with brainiacs like this! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! In terms of Zink he did tell Grover Norquist and the VCRCC to shove the No Tax Pledge where the sun don't shine, but otherwise he is unqualified to hold this office.

If you consider Fran Pavley qualified to hold office because of the job she's done so far in the Legislature, you've proven my point for me. Since Pavley's been in office, the State has been awash in red ink every single year. She is definitely part of the problem rather than part of the solution.

Time for change! Vote for Zink in November!!!

The State has been in red ink first because of REPUBLICAN ARNOLD S. and then because Bush and the GOP destroyed the economy brainiac. I always laugh at these republicans like this idiot who go to church and act all holy and then lie through their teeth every chance they get as long as it promotes their right wing nut job view of the world. Zink did tell the VCRCC and Norquist to shove the anti-tax pledge and siad he is open to higher taxes, but otherwise he has no qualifications for office. Of course Zink and the GOP want to take away your medicare and social security, so VOTE FOR FRAN PAVLEY IN 2012 AND KICK ALL REPUBLICANS OUT OF OFFICE!

This fool still can't connect the dots. He forgot to mention that the two Democratic Governors: Gray Davis (who preceded Arnold) and Jerry Brown (who succeeded Arnold) also presided over huge budget deficits.

Even more important though is the fact that Democrats have dominated both houses of the Legislature for decades. And they have never been willing to make the difficult choices to bring the State budget into structural balance, thus we have endless budget deficits, even with an improving economy.

Even during the good years, Democratic governors and legislators made the decision to spend all of the budget surpluses on their favorite pet projects or to increase pensions and benefits for State workers to reward the public employee unions that supported their reelctions. They never had the wisdom or the guts to put away any money for a rainy day - and it's raining cats and dogs right now.

"Go Fran" needs to do a little research before he goes spouting off about who is responsible for the State's financial woes, He also needs to learn how to spell the word "said" (dumbo spelled it "siad). Must be a product of the State's public school system.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Did you really ridicule her for teaching? Explain why.

I didn't ridicule Pavley for teaching. Stop twisting my words. I simply pointed out that she's been a public employee her entire life. As such, she has a certain perspective on government that most of the rest of us do not share.

She believes more government is better and has proven it by the things she's voted for over the years (more social programs, higher wages and benefits, and more lucrative pension plans for public employees than what the private sector offers, etc.).

She is out of touch with today's realities. She needs to go!

I find it peculiar that this Zink supporter doesn't realize his own candidate gets a government paycheck as a district attorney and as a member of the national guard.

Even stranger is this photo showing Zink with Allen West, an extreme, out-of-touch political figure who voted to end Medicare, thinks equality and fairness are Unamerican, who opposed allowing gays to serve in the military and believes people should be well-armed against the government. I could go on.

But one would expect this from a complete political neophyte who was propped up at the last minute to serve as a candidate against a distinguished senator with a impressive and much-lauded career.

This Todd Zink supporter knows very little about anything as he spends most of his time with his head stuck up Phony Tony's behind. You'll notice how this idiot won't comment on how Zink told Norquist and the VCRCC to shove the No Tax Pledge or how Zink is a Public Employee with a state pension. If this idiot ever told the truth he would probably explode and get koolaide all over the place! LMAO!!!!!

I'm very happy that a deputy district attorney is running against that Socialist, Fran Pavley. We need more law and order type legislators in Sacramento. We don't need someone like Pavley who values the three-legged tree frog over jobs for human beings.

I'm also very pleased that Todd has the independence to buck the GOP and Norquist and stake his own ground. You've just given me another reason to vote for Todd Zink for State Senate. Thanks again!

I'm very unhappy that a deputy district attorney is running against that American Patriot, Fran Pavley. We need fewer law and order type legislators in Sacramento who draw a big pension. We need someone like Pavley who values America over the anti-America Grover Norquist bunch.

I'm also very pleased that Fran has the independence to buck the GOP and Norquist and stake her own ground. You've just given me another reason to vote for Fran Pavley for State Senate. Thanks again!

This fool continues to use my brilliant comments and insert his own lies and distortions to make it seem like he came up with these observations himself. Such a pathetic loser. It's no small wonder why the GOP kicks his ass election after election. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You attacked Fran Pavley for being a government employee format years. She was a teacher. Your candidate has also been a long time government employee. That includes in law endorcement and the military. Those are all honorable jobs.

Fortune magazine and CNN have broken the story that Fast and Furious never happened in terms of gun walking! Soledad O'Brien had the Fortune reporter on tonight who proved that the House Committee led by Issa has no facts! O'Brien then brought on Republican Rep John Mica of Florida and he looked like a complete fool! He was wearing a bad hair piece and almost started crying as O'Brien destroyed him and the GOP case against Holder. At this point many are wondering if the attack on Holder has more to do with the color of his skin then anything else! It turns out the arms that went to Mexico could not be stopped because the NRA has watered down the gun laws in Arizona so badly, the blood is on the hands of the NRA it seems! Also if the GOP puppets on the Supreme Court overturn Obamacare you should consider sending your medical bills to Boehner and the RNC since the Healthcare Insurers with be allowed by the GOP to raise your rates by 200%!

Yeah, it figures this idiot would play the race card in the Holder case. Whenever his facts are flimsy and he's got no game he plays the race card. Just like his lover, Al Sharpton. Race card is Sharpton's middle name.

Eric Holder needs to step down as AG. He's been stonewalling the Congressional committee long enough. Every time he opens his mouth a pack of lies emerges.

When do you know when Eric Holder is lying?

Answer: His lips are moving.

Yesterday was a complete disaster for the GOP! First the Supreme Court lead by Roberts said Obama Care was Constitutional, the idiot Romney then looked like a complete fool when asked how Obama Care was different then RomneyCare he refused to answer and ran off. Obama was handed this massive victory over the GOP by John Roberts!!!!! Then Boehner held his racist vote against Holder and a 100 dems gave him the bird and walked out making Boehner look like a weakling! Looks like Obama is gonna win by 20 points! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the Dumocrats in Congress continue to act as obstructionists in the People vs. Eric Holder case. And this fool is proud of this? What a complete idiot!!!

Obama can't claim any kind of victory on Obamacare. Polls show that the majority of Americans are still deathly opposed to Obamacare. And the Supreme Court won't have the final say in this matter. The American voters will have the final say in November when they send Obama out on his Socialist ear.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Attorney General Eric Holder's stonewalling of Congress on the information they requested to try to get to the bottom of his Operation Fast & Furious debacle is despicable. Because of this ill-conceived program by Holder and Obama, American guns were smuggled into Mexico and made it into the hands of drug cartel members to be used to slaughter innocents in Mexico and to fight against the U.S. Border Patrol.

In other words, Eric Holder is responsible for innocent people being killed with U.S. made weapons. He should not only be ousted as Attorney General, but should face criminal charges for aiding and abetting criminals. He should be tossed into the deepest, darkest cell that's available in the federal prison system.

And I already know what this moron is going to say: "I'm a racist and all the members of Congress who voted to censure Holder are racists simply because he is black."

More of the same b.s. from this punk and his only friends, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The Romney Campaign is now saying that the penalty for not having health insurance (meaning you drive up health insurance costs for those with insurance) is not a tax! That's because Romney started this same "tax" under RomneyCare! In other news one of Romney's main fundraisers CEO Diamond of Barclays had to resign in disgrace today after it was revealed Barclays has been manipulating the London Libor Interest rate in order to rip people off for billions of dollars. Diamond was supposed to co-host a big Romney fundraiser next week but not anymore. (Locally Phony Tony Strickland is a big Romney supporter). In return for big bucks Romney had promised Barclays no more regulations in order to make it easier for Barclays to steal your money! Also Vanity Fair has a big article coming out about all of Romney's hidden money in the Caymans and Swiss accounts, the same places drug lords and dictators hide their money. More good reasons to VOTE ALL REPUBLICANS OUT OF OFFICE IN 2012!

I'd like to thank the U.S. Supreme Court for removing any doubt in their ruling last week that Obamacare constitutes a tax increase. This is now going to be something Obama has to defend while campaigning for reelection. Good luck there, Hussein. Polls show that tax increases are among the biggest hot button issues for voters in this year's election. Obama loses big time on this issue.

Chief Justice Roberts put the ball squarely back in Obama's court by voting to uphold Obamacare. If the Supreme Court had dismantled it, Obama would be able to complain about those old, white Republicans on the Court taking health care away from the American people. Now he is in a much worse position having to defend it at every turn.

Judge Roberts, you're brilliant!!!

Romney and his thugs have been in complete turmoil over this ruling for democracy delivered by Roberts. First Romney said it wasn't a tax, now he claims its a tax and a penalty. Why? Because under RomneyCare in Mass you must attach a copy of your health insurance to your Mass State Tax form, its then calculated into your taxes, no form, you pay more! ObamaCare was crafted after RomneyCare. Is a speeding ticket a tax or a penalty? According to team Romney its both! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recent polls show voters are most dissatisfied with Obama over his inability/unwillingness to do anything to help the economy recover. Economists don't see anything significant happening in the way of an improving economy over the next 4 months. Therefore, Obama is going to be constantly on the defense when it comes to the economy during the campaign.

He has no plan for making things better. Instead, all he does is blame Bush for the mess we're in. People are tired of hearing that line. He is the President and his inaction has resulted in people continuing to be out of work and suffering through the worst recession in modern history.

The GOP has no plan for making things better. Instead, all they do is blame Obama for the mess we're in, even though it was created by Bush and the GOP. People are tired of hearing that line. Obama is the President and his action has resulted in people being put back to work. Under Bush and the GOP we were losing a million jobs a month, under Obama we have averaged adding back 400,000 jobs a month. Read the Romney/Ryan/Strickland plan, it basically is, "Take medicare and social security away from senior citizens and all Americans, give Romney and the Koch Brothers a big tax cut, return to the failed GOP policies that always help the rich and then destroy the economy for everyone else."
