Rob Collins and Debbie Sandland have my vote!
Ditto!
Rob Collins- What a doofus. When “congratulating” a Principal for best attendance from the dais. He said: “That’s great ‘cause we really need the money” (The district is paid on ADA/ average daily attendance.) Instead of something like because we cant teach them if they aren’t in school. Evan as a poor attempt at humor- very telling!
"A doofus"? Your silly comment shows who the doofus really is.
Ron Collins is hilarious! I think that's so funny what he said. It's true too!
Ron Collins? Uh, it's Rob Collins. Hello doofus.
If you want someone who rubs elbows with the public unions and forgets to fight for the taxpayer, then you want Collins.
For Collins, education is about money. Not creating a system to find and keep better teachers while removing the bad ones. Not about fighting Sacramento and their horrible ideas. Not about representing us, the electorate. It's about him, his liberal ideas and the union.
Hirsh and White have my votes.
You do know that Collins & Sandland have been able to get the teachers to give up pay, benefits and other compensation every time the budget's come up for negotiation...don't you? Sounds like they're doing a great job of lowering the District's staff costs even as they're helping keep morale of teachers, administrators, students and parents at an all time high.
So what's your problem? Is it that you want to elect two people who are guaranteed to take a more adversarial stance with the unions just for the sake of making Grover Norquist & Company happy? Are you HOPING that there'll be a confrontation that leads to a strike and then lose the cost-cutting support of the teachers just so you can claim some dubious political victory, even if it means the students lose?
By all means, vote for Dan White but Josie Hirsch is out to make a a political name by creating confrontation.
It just ain't my week! Tried to hit preview, with the intentions of changing the post, including "two people who are guaranteed". I hadn't meant to include Dan White in my rambling thought. Sorry!
VOTE YES ON 30 AND VOTE COLLINS, SANDLAND AND WHITE!
Have you been to a School Board Meeting this election year? How about any other community meetings where Mr. Rob Collins is seated? Have you had a chance to be one of his former students?
If you haven't than you missed out on observing a man who is continuously feeding the audience with relent and guiding facts. He doesn't have to, but he speaks with conviction from an experienced history of teaching in the classroom. Distributing information about community resources that aim to ensure student safety, proactive approaches, and a stronger unified school district is what I observed recently.
He may not be the best looking, but don't let his looks fool you. Talk to the man and you will instantly be sold on his heart of gold. Your vote for Collins represents a vote of confidence, security, and solidarity in a man who simply cares a lot for each student. Vote for Rob Collins, vote for a leader and a caring teacher for school board.
