I enjoyed this review of the debate between Lee Rogers and Buck McKeon. As of now Buck McKeon is not scheduled to appear in Simi Valley at a debate. If the two candidates debated in Simi Valley would you be interested in attending?

Yes. Rep. Buck McKeon should come to Simi Valley and debate Dr. Lee Rogers face-to-face. He is an unknown quantity here, except for the Republican officials who have all endorsed him. Buck recently made a visit with his entourage to the Simi Valley Senior Center one day before my regular visit. Some seniors were making fun of him....saying he's running scared because he rarely makes any personal appearances in this community and seemed so out of his element. I have an easy rapport with them because I've visited so many times so they shared their impression of him. They said he needs to make more effort to connect with regular folks one-on-one; not like a Washington career politician. Simi Valley is one of the largest cities in this new congressional district.
Buck McKeon is in trouble. He is campaigning harder than he has in his life because he's got a smart, well spoken, viable challenger. Buck has ignored his hometown community of Santa Clarita and has lost much of his local, once loyal Republican base because he is more interested in representing the special interests in Washington than in doing what is right for his district.
