I went to the Simi Valley School Board meeting tonight to support fixing the calendar. Also on the agenda was the budget. The meeting got heated at moments and it was a standing room only crowd.
The big surprise was Dan White calling for the immediate removal of the superintendent. I am not sure if he has the support of any other school board members. Debbie Sandland and Rob Collins spoke out strongly against it. The other two did not address the issue directly enough to know their thoughts.

I am home from the meeting. The Paul Harvey Super Bowl ad makes sense for the people that will be at the meeting late tonight.
Dan White should never have been elected after he shot San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and San Francisco Supervisor Harvey Milk. Although I can understand if he'd been eating too many Hostess Twinkies this could have caused him to become homicidal. He'd better stock up on Twinkies though, since Hostess is scheduled to go out of business soon.
So, new Simi Valley School Board Trustee, Dan White, wants to fire the District Superintendent. But, he has no support whatsoever from the other four School Board members.
I say ease off the Hostess Twinkies. They appear to be clouding your judgment, Danny Boy.
It would seem that based on the charges Dan White's made, SOMEONE should resign. Whether that's Dr Scroggins or Mr White remains to be seen. If Dan White's correct, then this school district's problem is its key personnel and the board SHOULD fire them. If he's incorrect, he has no place on the board.
I agree, gs. Not to mention the fact that he killed two innocent people at San Francisco City Hall in 1978.
GS is right, if all these accusations are false then White should resign or face recall!
But if Dan White is CORRECT? In that case, what should eb done about the matters he's raised? Investigation? Dismissal? Grand jury? Leave it alone (it's no big deal)?

Doesn't he know this guy offed two public officials in San Francisco back in 1978. And I've heard from a very reliable source that he's still eating Hostess Twinkies round-the-clock.
In case someone does not get the joke, that is a different Dan White.
I know that a lot of kids have, and are transferring out of SVUSD. If it is 600 thats reprehensible. That is a lot of money that could go to other educational resources we so badly need. There may be something here. Why is everyone so afraid to have a special meeting about how screwed up the district is, and why the superintendant is not addressing it. It sounds like her "Nothing to see here, move along" management style is coming into question. If she has been addressing it without success she can bring it all to the board and save her job. If not, remover her to make way for progress.
We need to band together and recall Dan White, if, in fact, he is the same man who killed two innocent people in 1978.
I realize this happened 35 years ago, but, let's not forget, this is a man who is now responsible for making decisions concerning the welfare of our kids. Who knows when he'll go off again, especially if he's still eating junk food?
Don't you people do research or are you a bunch of retards? The person who committed crimes in 1978 was a different person than the one on the current school board! If the current school board individual was the one who committed the 1978 crimes he would have been about 13 or so! Get your facts straight you idiots!
I remain committed to getting Dan White removed from office based on the crimes he committed in 1978. I mean, what does it matter if he was 13 years old at the time? He still killed two human beings as political vengeance.
And, don't try and tell me that he's sworn off Hostess Twinkies. I actually saw him stuffing a Twinkie into his mouth on his way into the last School Board meeting.
You can continue living in your own alternate reality, Mr. Hartfield. But, I'm waiting for the moment Dan White walks into the next School Board meeting packing more than a couple of Twinkies in his coat.

Dan White should be removed from the School Board based on what he did in 1978 - Twinkies or no Twinkies. And Harold Godwin seems like he wants to fight to the bitter end for him.

School boarding while white (SBWW) isn't handled the same way as driving while black (DWB) in Simi Valley. So I don't think Dan Dan the School Board Man has much to worry about.
