( Hero dog risks its life to save another dog.)

On the right side of my blog entries you can see recent comments. Normally the comments are all from entries on the front page of my blog. But of all the entries I have written in the archives the entries on the dog park in Simi Valley continue to get attention. I have been blogging to support the dog park and asking park board members on the progress of opening a dog park for years.

This Saturday a dog park finally opens in Simi Valley.

Way to go Park Board! If I don't make the ribbon cutting ceremony I will be taking my dogs there soon. Thanks for making this plan a reality.

Any of you plan to use the dog park?

( Talking dogs = funny. )

Simi Valley's Dog Park is scheduled to open in March. Click here for the rules and information on the grand opening. I am glad are park board has been able to make this happen.

Now it looks like Moorpark is also trying to open a dog park.

Are you pleased with the level of services, the tax rate, and the management of your local park district? I think our park district is well run.

A reader wrote in and asked about the progress building a dog park for our canine citizens.

I wrote an entry about it last year but I haven't heard any updates. City council woman Barbra Williamson said that there were plans to include it in Lost Canyons. If you haven't driven by the Thousand Oaks Dog Park it is the most used park I have seen.

I look forward to the day when the park opens. If we work together I think we can move the date on the calendar forward.

If you have comments, thoughts, contact information for people in charge, or ideas please leave them. Any letters or copies of e-mails you send or get post them. I really don't like being second best to Thousand Oaks in this category.
