David Pollock's campaign strategy has been focusing on attracting the attention of netroots activists. He released an ad designed to spread to activists outside the district and now he is doing an interview on the popular website Reddit.

Many netroots activists know Reddit was very involved in the protests against SOPA. Rep. Elton Gallegly is a co-sponsor of SOPA, the bill that united Google, Reddit, and Wikpedia to oppose.

He is now doing an IAmA interview with users of Reddit.

David Pollock is going to need netroots support if he is going to be among the top two candidates in a crowded primary of well funded challengers that includes Tony Strickland, Linda Parks, and Steve Bennett.

Justin Davis is a young activist who is considering running for Congress in the new congressional district that includes Simi Valley and Santa Clarita. He wrote some lines about why he supports the #Occupy movement and sent them to me. I then uploaded the music to Youtube. The sound quality isn't great but you can read the lyrics below. Justin, will you be at the #Occupy Simi Valley General Assembly this Sunday? I haven't met Justin Davis before but you can tell he is passionate. I think it is obvious that he and Armed Services Chair Buck McKeon do not have much in common.

I went through their page and I don't recognize any of the organizers. This appears to be a real grassroots movement.
