Baby Killers

| | Comments (18)

Last Sunday I was called a "Baby Killer" for the first time. I was at Arlington West talking to a Vietnam veteran and looking at the thousands of small wooden crosses and we were discussing President Bush and other Politicians bad mouthing and convicting the Marines being accused of war crimes.

A women just hanging around since 1969 walked up to us and asked " What about the Iraqis ? Where's the remberence of the ONE MILLION innocent Iraqis our military has murdered ?
I answered " Right here " and pointed to my memorial braclet and said " And here " and pointed to my heart. I then asked here for the names of some of these people that were murdered and offered the names of those Iraqi soldiers I knew that died and continue to serve. She got very upset and said to me and the Vietnam Vet " You're all just baby killers and slaves of Bush! ".

We both just shook our heads and chuckeled at the shamless conduct we had just seen, as did others at the memorial site. I have gotten more and more upset with the coverage people like this and Cindy Sheehan get while our soldiers continue to serve nobley and get used by the Press and Politicians, both in and out of uniform.
