Day 49 Without a Budget--Democrats Kick Democrat Opponent to Budget to the Street

| | Comments (4)

Democrat Assemblywoman Nicole Parra, from Bakersfield, believes the State Budget must address the water problem of the Central Valley. She wants to represent the people of her District. Now, isn't that what an elected official should do?

Well, because the Democrat budget, which did include massive tax increases and deficits, but did not address the water issue, she did not vote for the budget--she abstained.

Today, the Democrat Speaker, Karen Bass, literally kicked Parra out of her office.

Now her staff has been sent one block away from the Capitol--very inconvenient. And, her Chief of Staff and one other worker have been given a converted CLOSET--no kidding-!!

This now means that the Democrats will need NINE Republicans to support a budget with tax increases, gimmicks, fee increases and deficits. That will not happen. While the budget may not be passed till late September, the good news is that the amount of taxes and deficit might drop.

Politics is hardball. Congratulations to Nicole Parra for standing up for the needs of her constituents.

The actions by Bass will make it even harder to pass a bad budget, and that is a good thing!

Looks like Sacramento does have some legislators with principles and backbone.

What Steve Frank FAILS to mention is that Republicans have been asked repeatedly to come up with a budget showing line by line what they would cut that all together equals 15 billion. The dishonest SCUM have failed to do so. They say cut but are afraid to specify what they would cut.

As usual Steve Franks is THE place to come for right wing bias and facttwisting. And all the fiction fit to print.

Bravo for Parra! These democrat loonies just want to tax us until we end up in the poorhouse! I would like them to wear my shoes for just one week, eating Top Ramen for days on end due to lack of money! Please all you Republicans, and Parra, stick to your guns, we hired you to represent us!

Who cares if they ever have a budget as long as we are funding health care and education for all of mexico, free cars and gas for public officials, free travel and meals for public officials, full retirement for public employees at age 50,$400,000 salries for public employees,

At least I know that Parra is somebody who will stick up for herself and think as an individual, representing her district.

I congratulate her for her display of personal strength, which is so very rare in politics today.

To Karen Bass, you should just simply resign from politics. Ms. Bass, you are just simply an embarrassment to ALL politicians, and that's saying a lot.
