Day 72--No budget--But we will have one soon--without new taxes

| | Comments (2)

Finally, the Democrats and the Governor have given in! After begging the Republicans for 75 dyas to harm families and jobs, we will soon get a budget that reduces spending, has no taxes and no borrowing.

Why couldn't they have done this in June?

This is from the Sacramento Bee:

New taxes off the table?
By Aurelio Rojas
Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata told his Democratic caucus Friday that he and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger are willing to back off on demands for new taxes to end California's 75-day-long budget stalemate.

In the article the most investigated member of the legislature the article says, "Perata wrote that he told Schwarzenegger on Thursday, "Let's see if I can work on a deal with (Republicans) that is no tax, no borrowing. He agreed."

Perata said that he plans to work with Republicans through the weekend to try to reach a budget deal."

This could have been done 75 days ago. The Governor and the Democrats over played their hands, and harmed the elderly, the children and those who had faith in the contracts signed by the State of California--and then have not been paid.

While newspapers editorialized that the GOP should give in, it was those demanding bigger and more expensive government gave in. This will be a victory for all Californians. It is a defeat for the Left and their special interests.,

We still have out of control spending, we still have a deficit, we still have Clark Kelso trying to steal $15 billion from the treasury so criminals can be comfortable in prison.

If we stick together, we will beat back Big Government and its allies, the Special Interests and the Unions. Kelso and the Federal Courts can be stopped.

Just as we celebrate the passing of Prop. 13 in June of 1978. We will celebrate the victory of a no new taxes budget. Assemblyman Villines and Senator Cogdill, the GOP legislative leaders, will be remembered with Howard Jarvis and Ronald Reagan as those that stood tall for all Californians.

Your just another hypocrite that is guaranteed freedom of speech under the constitution, yet would deny it to anyone else.

The fact that you are able to disagree with me proves you are wrong.

Stop making silly charges and start presenting your views.

You will be heard.
