Katie Teague Gets Caught in her own Words

| | Comments (14)

Katie Teague is a centrist--she supported a Democrat, Jim Dantona over a Republican Peter Foy for County Supervisor. Even though she is a registered Republican that is her right.

Then when the Republican Party of Ventura County endorsed Tony Strickland for State Senate, she wrote this in the Flashreport, "Comments

Considering the Ventura County Central Committee are all Strickland minions, it isn't surprising that they would bend the rules to back Tony. Now the question is, does the rest of the district think Tony is the one or will they back Jim Dantona? I smell blood in the water.

Over the years she has clearly not been a friend of Tony or Audra Strickland. Even her so called "centrist" organization seems to be a front for the Democrats.

Note that her page on Ventura County PAC's does not mention a single Democrat PAC, not even one. Guess she forgot about all the union PAC's that support Democrats. Instead when you read her description of a PAC, Teague always tries to tie it back to Tony Strickland. Does Jackson take money from the much investigated, and as the LA Times has shown, the very troubled, SEIU? Katie Teague does not say. Wonder why?

Guess what, Tony and Audra are and have been GOP elected officials, of course GOP oriented PAC's will support them. Is that a surprise to anybody.

Now she is claiming her Democrat leaning organization (seems to be anti-McClintock, Gallegly, Audra and Tony Strickland and anti Peter Foy) is upset that Tony Strickland won't attend an event she sets up. The only state GOP person involved on her organizations Advisory Board is Keith Richman. Richman was the GOP Assemblyman who voted against a budget because it did not raise taxes enough.

The bottom line--this is an organization that prefers Democrats over Republicans and tax increase supporters over those who believe government is out of control.

In fairness, here is an email sent by Katie Teagiue. Note that she realizes that Tony Strickland would not attend her event.

Subject: Need Input from CAPC members

Tony Strickland refuses to participate in a CAPC debate with Hannah Beth Jackson and has formally passed on the forum. He doesn't want to give CAPC any credibility and he is angry with me.

Hannah Beth Jackson has been very responsive to CAPC and very much wants to participate. We have picked the date of September 24 at the main campus of CLU and I will ask Joe Howry to come up with five questions.

I need your input on what should we do about rankings. Tony Strickland has kind of shot himself in the foot - if he won't even do a forum, he can't expect to get a better than "Not Favorable" from CAPC. We still need to rank Hannah Beth Jackson and I think she should answer some questions from us in addition to the forum. I've attached the questions we gave to the Ventura City Council candidates. I'd like to get these to her by the end of the week.

This Senate race is the biggest one in the state. Both candidates are going after the independent vote. CAPC represents the broad middle, including the DTS voter.

Also, I'm thinking we should have a couple other races at TO - maybe the Conejo Valley School District? And/or the TO City Council race?

Let me know what you think so I can advise accordingly.

In another post I will discuss the phrase "Tony Strickland has kind of shot himself in the foot - if he won't even do a forum, he can't expect to get a better than "Not Favorable" from CAPC." in the Teague email. Hint Hannah Jackson (yes, I do know her name) has a serious problem on discussing tax issues.

It shouldn't be too surprising that Tony declined to participate in the CAPC-sponsored forum. I'm sure he recognized it for what it was - a set-up by the Democrat-leaning CAPC crowd to try and make him look bad in a public setting.

This was an amubush orchestrated by Katie and Leslie Cornejo, former VCRCC members, who both have an axe to grind with the Stricklands and their supporters on the Republican Central Committee. Nothing more and nothing less. Tony was smart to turn them down.

Steve is just not able to accept the FACT that not every Republican is a right wing nutjob and supporting Strickland. Hey Steve: Some people really do have brains(unlike the airhead Strickland).

Did you forget that Tony Strickland endorsed Democrat Jim Dantona over Republican Judy Mikels in the supervisor's race? Maybe he should join Ms. Tegue's Centrist group. I think Ms. Teague's break off from the Republican Party was in response to the far right wing extremists (your friends) who are running it. Nobody blames her for running away.

Star Editor Joe Howry has said he will be the one formulating and asking the questions at the debate.

Joe Howry? Are trying to support your statement or prove Mongo's point. He's a huge Jackson supporter

Mongo hit the nail right on the head here.

Katie and Leslie would like nothing more than to get Tony Strickland in a room filled with CAPC members/Jackson supporting-Democrats and then berate him with pre-staged questions designed to humiliate him.

You call him an airhead, but he sure wasn't in this instance.

With Tony Strickland it is IMPOSSIBLE to come up with questions that don't humiliate him. He is a clueless airhead who didn't even know what Prop 13 was when I mentioned it.

jw1,

That's a bald-faced lie and you know it. You keep repeating it in the hope that someone will believe it. Well, you're wrong!

You would have to be living on another planet not to know what Proposition 13 is about. Any politician, especially one as concerned about tax increases as Tony Strickland is, would absolutely know Proposition 13 inside and out.

You're a moron, so get a life and stop with your wishful thinking posts that are just exposing you as the big idiot that you are.

Katie Teague is an insignificant gadfly, that no one gives a hoot about.

Katie Teague Has the guts to vote the best interests of the county not along party lines. She also has the guts to post under her own name unlike Campgal and Mongo Flamo. Someone who has the guts to post her poltical views in the light of day is not an Insignificant Gadfly but a true patriot unlike those hide under false names like cowards.

Oh, so you did have the guts to post here, Leshon. I'm shocked! You usually stick to your own safe territory where you're shielded so well by all the liberal, lefty wankers that are so predominant on PoliticalWatchCentralCoast.org and Helen Conly's blog.

Getting back to Katie Teague, she's clearly (and has been for some time now) on a personal vendetta to go after both Tony and Audra Strickland and try to discredit them wherever possible. She has made no secret about her intentions in this regard and has been very open about it, quite frankly.

If this is someone you choose to go out on a limb and defend as "gutsy" and "patriotic", well God speed to you.

Flamo,

You know I have posted many times in this blog under my own name and you know it, something you do not have the guts to do. In your limited imagination if someone doesn't like your candidates tactics, positions or voting record it's personal. I have many Republican friends and we don't take our politics personal. I imagine you do and that is why you project this behavior on Katie Teague. Tony is a liar and fraud and he is as much an environmental businessman as a tire fire, just look at his record. Audra is the same. By the way I hear rumor you work for the city or county of Santa Barbara, do they know you are involved in political activities while you are at work?

By the way Flamo, I complimented you once in this blog for admitting that Republican business leaders often go out of their way to hire illegal aliens, something Stephen Frank had to be poked to do in public, so I don't think you are all bad.

Katie Teague is nothing more than Carroll Dean Williams on steriods, well, make that high octane estrogen.

Now, don't you say that about my cousin, Katie. She's more than a gadfly. She's a great lady, although she does change her political stripes more often than a zebra in heat.
