Gallegly won't run again?

Rep. Elton Gallegly declared he would not run again, for health reasons, but announced mere hours before the deadline for registering to run for the office, making it impossible for other candidates to jump in after they heard the news. Now, he's considering if he'll stay in the race, particularly since he also blew the deadline for removing his name from the ballot.

South Dakota and abortion

The state of South Dakota passed a draconian law banning all abortions except to save the mother's life (no exceptions for rape, incest or health) with an eye on sending it to the U.S. Supreme Court.
