Plundering
For years, the California Controller's office has been seizing "inactive" bank accounts and other assets of taxpayers and putting the money into the state's general fund. Supposedly notice is given in advance, or a search for the owner is made to warn them the assets will be seized if no action is taken, but the state has found it very lucrative to make the notification as minimal as possible, to grab as much as possible.

Like the article said, this has been going on for years. I once had an account at Rockwell Credit Union, and my father told me about the fact that if there was no transactions with that account within 2 years, it would go to the State. At the time, I was in my early 20's, and with 30 bucks in the account I didn't pay attention to it.
However, now that I'm 30 years older, and much wiser to any government taking anything of mine, I look at this as total "Highway Robbery!"
All I can say is, BULL!
I read years ago that the Feds spend $1.57 for every $1.00 they raise taxes. I'm sure it's about the same with the State Gov. So, they saw a way to offset that deficit a little bit, and went for it.
I vote NO on anything that will cause bonds to be sold, or will raise our taxes. Why? Because, in Southern California, we have (It used to be 5th, until they exported so many jobs) the 8th Largest Economy in the WORLD!!
And WHERE are the taxes collected on the 8th largest economy in the WORLD going???
So much more money than we can even imagine! With the taxes collected, we should be able to:
1) Fund health care to everyone in CA.
2) Fund, probably through a Masters Degree, everyone in the 5-6 western U.S.!
3) Fund ANYTHING WE WANT! New Freeways, road improvements, etc...
It's interesting how these kinds of laws get on the agenda. What if it was someone who lost her husband after 50 years, he had worked at either Rockwell or North American Aviation, (Which was swallowed up by Rockwell) and her husband had worked there for many years and had savings in the account! Of course, she might never know about the law as her husband had seen the insert from a letter the credit union sent to him about it, although he didn't share that with his wife, or even if he did, after his death, she probably had other things on her mind other than "Oh, the State Government" is going to take my money unless I make a transaction within 2 years.
However, I have studies the ways of politicians and the groups they associate with since I was 16, (I read "Captains and the Kings" by Taylor Caldwell) and have since been able to see what was going to happen in this country by reading not the "Politically Correct Press", but by reading several "Underground" newspapers, who do Name Names! I watched what is now called our "Immigration Crises" happen, not due to the causes that are put out today, but due to other circumstances caused not by the people of Latin America, especially Mexico, but the pressures put on their Government to cause the problems they have in that country today.
That's another story! I just wanted to point out that REAL information is out there, you just have to look for it. And with the Internet, (Which is why the government and the U.N. are constantly looking for ways to limit it or come up with "Something Better!" Right. Something better means: Oh well, I'll stop here, you get my drift!
Back to the politicians, if you give them a dollar they'll spend it and more.

My Mom passed away and Judge Barbra Lane assigned a county approved executor and lawyer to handle the probate. These county appointed people were the biggest crooks I ever ran into in my entire life.
The lied, cheated, and stole.
To top it all off the executor and lawyer Judge Barbra Lane appointed forgot the money in my Mother's bank account. It is still sitting there. Well I think it is, maybe the State already took it.
Maybe Judge Barbra Lane gets a bonus for doing that. I know she likes to write letters to the immigration department to; in my opinion, recieve special care from the nurses at the nursing home her relatives live at.
Now a son of a Nazi is stealing my World War 2 veterans Father's wifes bank account. Great.
I learned more here in three days than I learned in the three months combined at the Brian Dennert blog. From now on this is where I get my news.
