St. John's mold problem
Comments
Dear Mr. Greenberg: I was shocked and dismayed by your editorial cartoon on St. John's Regional Medical Center with the sign that read, "St. John's Regional Moldical Center." I found this cartoon to be in very poor taste. Despite the many challenges to keep the hospital environment safe and clean, St. John's Regional Medical Center continues to provide quality care to so many in need. After over 90 years of service to the people of Oxnard and Ventura County community, I wonder what was going on in your mind I believe many people will be stopping their subscription to the Ventura County Star because of this and some past editorial cartoons. Maybe it is time to rethink what good journalsim is all about Thanks for listening. Rev. Peter Gelfer, Oxnard, CA.

This is the first place I heard that there is mold at the hospital. Thank you Steve for protecting the community.
Don't worry about the other folks... They blame everybody but themselves. We call them Republicans around here. Hey nice Walter Reed impersonation guys... LOL!
Actually, Michael, the news has been in this newspaper for awhile, and St. John's is planning a tempoaray shutdown to deal with the mold issue that's been, um, festering for years.

Posted by: Michael Stein at July 2, 2007 1:36 PM Dear Hospital,
Please take two barrels of a hydrogen perioxide solution and spray it all over the place and call me in the morning....
It should cost about.... $100.00. I need your insurance card....

Mr. Greenberg:
Very cute. This is a serious problem that the hospital is dealing with in a very professional and sensitive manner. Your caricature is in very poor taste.
