Simi bills a church

SimiChurchBill923.gif

The City of Simi Valley and its mayor decide to send a bill for $40,000 of police time to the United Church of Christ over a protest by outsiders in front of the church over its giving refuge to a Mexican woman seeking legal residence status to stay with her American husband and children.

That is the best local political cartoon I have ever seen. Let me know if there is any awards to nominate you for this art.

There is not a single person that thinks the bill will ever be paid. it is sad that in Simi Valley a church needs to worry if they should call the police because they might be charged for it.

The idea that Simi Valley is safe is a fallacy.

Before thinking about moving to the city know that police protection can be spotty because local politicians interfere in it. If they don't like you, don't bother calling the police as you might be billed for it as a political stunt. You might want to hold off until Miller is gone.

The same goes for companies. A protest group might target your company one day and Mayor Miller might actually encourage them to protest against you.

Thanks very much. Actually, if you want to express support for the cartoon, the best way is that you could send the Star a Letter to the Editor for publication.

Right wing conservatives speak often about the rights of the unborn. What about the rights of the born. I believe that separating an infant from it's Mother is cause irreparable harm. Where are the Republican family values? They are blinded by their greed and fascist views. If the babies Mother was an immigrant from England those living examples of why inbreeding is illegal racist punks never would have showed up.

It is my opinion, the Republican Simi Valley city council members invited these skinheads and Nazi groups to attack the Simi Valley church. I watched the caravan of cowards drive all the way home. They weren't from here. Who called them?

It is amazing that the Simi valley city council has so many stern words for a church but has never condemned in public a group that shouts about dykes in front of kids, that videotapes latino suspected immigrants, that uses bullhorns to disrupt church services, and that believes there is a secret treaty to unite America, Canada, and Mexico into a single country.
