China Olympics smog

The Olympic Games in Beijing are intended to be China's showcase to the world of what a modern society it has become. Unfortunately, one aspect of that is all too apparent: Beijing's world-class air pollution. It's become a source of anxiety for the athletes preparing to compete in conditions within which most doctors would advise people not to engage in strenuous physical activity.
