California budget impasse
Both parties maintain their stances on the state budget impasse, believing they are holding principled positions, and of course nothing is moving forward. Unfortunately, "compromise" is not a big principle for either side.

Wrong again, Randall. The Dems stayed in Sacramento during the Convention, which was a week long, not just a weekend. Will the State's GOPers do the same?

The good news is that the Dem. National Convention is this weekend. You can bet that the dems will start compromising quick so they can be on a plane in time to attend the convention.
