Hillary diehards

As the Democratic National Convention gets started, some supporters of Hillary Clinton have indicated that, since their candidate was not picked for the ticket, they won't support Obama and in fact might even switch to McCain in protest.

One of the larger obstacles that Obama is faced with now is overcoming the Hillary sound bites that the McCain folks are putting out. I think the speech Hillary gave last night was almost too good if you were already behind her for president. I think that it reminded a lot of folks why they voted for her in the primaries. Will be interesting to see if that speech hurts or helps Obama.

What die-hard Clinton supporter...a well-known advocate for women's rights...could support Palin...someone who would make abortion totally illegal, under all circumstances? Remember, she would be just a 72 year-old heartbeat away from the Oval Office.
In 2006, Palin was publicly in favor of Ted Stevens' "Bridge to Nowhere". Now she says she had always been against it.
Between the two, I supported Clinton over Obama. Whereas I am still uncertain about my support for Barack, I cannot and will not support John "100 Years" McCain and Sarah "uber-Neocon" Palin.

It would be sad if a woman supported the McCain-Palin ticket ONLY because of gender, without regard to policies and positions... just as it would be sad if any person supported either ticket ONLY because of race — black- or white-centric. But there's no doubt there will be some people who do just that.

I supported Hillary as well. I really wanted her to win. I was uncomfotable with how Obama was presenting himself - like a used car salesman. Plus, we've seen what teh Clinton administration can do and we know it is good. Still, there is no way I'd vote replublican just because my hopeful didn't make it. I vote on issues first, then party but will NEVER either not vote or vote for the opposite party because the candiate I was rooting for didn't make it. It's people like this that will continously allow the replubs to devistate America. Open your eyes people: Each year a republican is office our deficit GROWS. Put a liberal (Clinton) in office and BAM! We have a surplus.

If you a democrat and care for this country... even if you are a republican and care for this country, VOTE OBAMA!

If not - people who refuse to vote or vote for the oppostite party have NOTHING to complain about when McHitler and Sara Putin finish the job Dubbya and his party started: killing America.
