Thousands gather in Ventura to protest out-of-control government

An estimated 3,500 Tea Party Patriots from across the county gathered at the Ventura County Government Center on Independence Day, waving flags and signs amid a seemingly unbroken wail of car horns from sympathetic passerbys.

Protesters lined the streets for about a thousand feet on Victoria Avenue and criticized government spending, high taxes, socialism, and cap-and-trade. Those that wished to speak to the crowd were granted a platform and a microphone. Read more...
