Failing to warn public

Four months ago, local authorities notified residents that a physically threatening Siberian tiger was loose. Then they killed a declawed and relatively harmless animal that was likely someone’s pet.

Monday evening, local authorities failed to inform residents that a crazed murderer was likely hiding in the brush. Only sheer luck and a suicide prevented more deaths.

Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks are the safest cities in the country for many reasons, but one of them is not their overrated police departments.
