Comic relief

Re: Barbara Hensley’s Nov. 29 letter, “The Black Friday woes:

Thanks so much for publishing this letter. It made my day! After the laughter died down in our house, I just had to write and say once again that The Star’s “Your Letters section continues to offer more laughs per column than the comics.

The writer drives to the outlet mall on Black Friday for a kitchen gadget. I’m sure all Camarillo residents who love crowds, congestion, heavy traffic and waiting in lines laughed along with her when she mused, “What was I thinking?"

The article continued humorously on until it reached its height of comic irony. After berating the police for maintaining a presence at the “arena, who does she instinctively turn to when she panics and needs help?
