The reasons that many of us moved to Ventura County are the very same reasons that we should all vote to re-elect Linda Parks as our Ventura County supervisor. It is necessary to do so in order to preserve our environment and our way of life.
We want to live in a quiet and beautiful community that is safe and not overdeveloped. The community should offer good schools, good air quality, recreational activities, employment opportunities and other services.
Some developers who have pushed the envelope too far and some attorneys who have represented these developers are supporting Joe Gibson, Linda Parks’ opponent. Some Thousand Oaks City Council members who have accepted donations from these developers and their attorneys are also supporting Linda Parks’ opponent. It does not take a rocket scientist to put two and two together and realize that it would be in your best interest to not vote for the candidate who will vote for projects regardless of the fact that they will result in overcrowded neighborhoods and schools and traffic congestion and otherwise threaten our way of life.
Linda Parks maintains an office in Thousand Oaks to be close to her constituents so that she can help resolve matters that are brought to her attention. She is caring and works hard to serve the community. Please join me in voting to have her re-elected as our Ventura County supervisor.
