Fundamentalists a real threat

Al-Qaida’s No. 2 man, Ayman al-Zawahri, announced a “worldwide call for Muslims to raise up in holy war until Islam reigns from Spain to Iraq. Although many see this as purely terrorist posturing, I do not.

Hezbollah has been doing its best to inflict death on Israeli civilians. Iran has stated Israel should be destroyed. Worldwide, fundamentalist Islamics incite hatred and a desire to become martyrs while killing as many Americans and Israelis as possible.
All these events are tied together by a common desire of these people to impart their own perverted view of a religion originally founded upon principles of tolerance, hospitality and broadmindedness.

Comments from Osama bin Laden that we are the root cause of Muslim anger and are engaged in another “crusade miss a very basic historical fact. In 1095, at the Council of Clermont, the First Crusade was formed in response to Muslim aggression against Constantinople. Over the next few hundred years, the crusades continued, but the original reason for these wars blurred. More than 1,000 years ago, Western Europe hoped to stem the tide of Muslim armies. Now, we again look at fundamentalist Muslims desiring to see us all dead.

One way of dealing with these fundamentalists is to reason with them and pray they desire peaceful co-existence. As their language of hatred continues to escalate, and their desire to see us all dead is propagated among their young, we may be forced to confront their force with force. We must accept the fact we are at war with an ideology that wishes ill of us. They are not a country but a mindset. Do we not care we may end up having no freedoms in exchange for servitude to these masters?

Wake up, America, before fundamentalist Muslims put you to sleep permanently.
