Pool closure raises questions

The Star has done numerous stories on the Easter Seals Pool on Henderson Road. What about this one?

The pool does serve a small community, even smaller since the changes in workers compensation laws took place. Well, this is part of the fallout. I am one of those “chronic participants of the pool program, and it is crushing to see the loss of this pool.

I don’t know how many people are employed by Easter Seals, and I’m confused about non-profits. There are a lot of questions, but all I see is the closing of this pool and a loss to the few who need what Easter Seals has provided.

I do wonder how much is paid to the board. This organization is for the support of whom? What is a non-profit?

Please do a follow-up for the people who will lose the pool.
