Re: your Sept. 26 Business article, “Poll: Some Americans think politics at play at the pump:
This story reported that in a Gallup poll, 53 percent said they did not believe the Bush administration "deliberately manipulated" the price of gasoline, and 42 percent said they did believe so. But what headline did The Star put above the story? The headline may be a true statement, but it highlights the minority belief. This looks like a "deliberate manipulation" of public opinion because many people only skim the headlines. Such headlines should be printed in italic to indicate they are slanted!

I want to sign up to be Patti's best friend. Boy did she nail it on this one!!! Great letter!
I am sure it is just a coincidence that the gas prices went down just before the republicans came up for re-election.
Of course it is nice to have after everyone figured out the security alert scam.

I am sure Bush's conspiratorial influence is so vast that he is responsible for gas prices going down world-wide as well, right? Or is that just another coincedence?
