Re: your Sept. 6 article, “‘You expect these things to happen,’ resident of area says�:

It is a sad state of affairs when citizens say, "You expect these things to happen." Whatever happened to the expectation of living in a peaceful neighborhood? Sounds to me like the people living in the area of North Ventura Road ought to be up in arms over the repeated shootings. Perhaps they should try cooperating with the police when these incidents occur. These senseless shootings and killings have got to stop. I just wish I had the answers.
