Mr. Munson states that “personal safety trumps everything.� Looking out for our personal safety is fine unless it is carried to an extreme, as he seems to advocate.
Mr. Munson says he feels for the polar bears, asthmatics and troops, but he really doesn’t care for them or he would also worry about the damage to the environment these rolling tanks — SUVs — do to the planet.
I would like to have my grandchildren enjoy a future on this Earth. His views, and people who share his views, are what will destroy the planet. Such views mean we only think of today and what we can get for ourselves now, and, when tomorrow comes, well, we’ll worry about that then.
In addition, possibly police officers should run and hide when Mr. Munson calls for them, or firefighters should stand back and let the house burn. Likewise should the troops fighting to insure his freedom stop since they may be hurt because, as we all know, “personal safety trumps everything.�
