If more people bought smaller cars, rather than more people buying larger cars, the accident rate and fatality rate would be greatly decreased because a smaller car going against a larger car will result in the complete destruction of the smaller car. However, a smaller car going against a smaller car will be far less devastating. Smaller cars are cheaper, more gas-efficient, more ecologically adept and easier to drive. The answer to the small car vs. big car crashes would be for everyone to buy a small car and not prolong the problem by buying an SUV or truck.
