Deputies’ priorities wrong

Re: your May 6 article, “Warning signs ignored in Marmo killing:

It’s remarkable, but not surprising, that the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department would be unresponsive to John Marmo’s attempts to get help. These uniformed meter maids are in place merely to levy the ticket tax on us all. On two occasions I’ve been stopped by two deputies in a car. They gave me tickets each time, based on lies. Their motto should be to protect and serve our profits. It’s disgusting. It’s systemic corruption, and nothing at all will be done to fix it. Welcome to 21st century Tammany America.
