GOP record abysmal

You just gotta love these Republican candidates for president. They seem to have the same sort of learning curve as George Bush: a flat line. Look at the record. Bush scorned America's allies. He ridiculed the United Nations. He downplayed almost all global accords except for job-losing “free trade agreements. He provided tax cuts for the super wealthy and megabucks for the military, but it was deregulation, privatization and crony capitalism for the rest of America.

He rolled back protections for the environment, and he attacked and destroyed labor unions. He thought we should never spend money on domestic programs — levees in and around New Orleans do come to mind. He cut regulatory agencies, scorned government and spent time worshiping frozen embryos.

President Bush is following in the footsteps of President Reagan, and the American public does not like it. Now we have some 10 clowns who want to give us more of the same. I guess they didn't do enough damage in the six years the GOP controlled the Congress and the White House. Do we really want more of this? I think not!

Have you been smoking the wacky weed? You are the perfect example of whom the Dems are trying to reach out to. You obviously haven't read or researched the issues you bring up; you just latch onto the lefties' talking points. Tell me how much good the U N has done anyone. NAFTA was passed during the Clinton administration, not Bush's. Bush had nothing to do with building the New Orleans levees and improving them was never an issue until Katrina. I could go on and on. You are wrong on almost all counts. Check it out,Art!
