Magnify science coverage

A short paragraph at the bottom of the page is not sufficient coverage of the Ventura County Science Fair awards. If it had been a crime or an athletic event for a countywide competition, it would have gotten more coverage, and the winners would have been named. There were hundreds of students in the competition, and they all spent hours doing experiments and getting their displays ready.

Science is a large part of the Ventura County economy, so let’s give it some more positive publicity.

Mr. Lux, thank you very much. As a five-year participant and award winner in the fair, I agree with your comment and realize how little coverage the papers give the fair. To all the sponsors of the fair and the generous professionals that participate in the judging and the running of the fair, I sincerely thank you.
