It has been two years now since Ashley Ponce caused the death of seven people, long enough to have deadened the horror to a great extent. It is her great good fortune or her lawyer's that the case has taken so long to come up. I don't think she would have gotten probation had she been subject to a jury trial.

Pleading guilty is another clever ploy to exonerate herself. Even Paris Hilton is serving time, and she didn't kill anyone. Probation in this case seems very unjust.
