As last week’s wind event transpired, one of the unsung occupations that didn’t receive much public comment was the Southern California Edison employee.
Like firefighters, Edison employees work many long hours without sleep to ensure that power lines are rendered safe for firefighters and to ensure that electrical power to the public is maintained. While most of the public enjoys power for lights, firefighters must have power maintained so water supply and pressure is there for firefighting purposes.
We appreciate the efforts of the Edison employees and ask the public to please take a moment to thank Edison employees for their hard work as well.
