Dear Santa:
All I want for Christmas is for the Kmart store on Victoria Avenue in Ventura to become a super-sized Trader Joe’s.
I know I’m asking for a lot, but I’ve been a good girl this year. For example, when I couldn’t find a spot in the overcrowded parking lot at the existing Trader Joe’s, I didn’t lose my temper. When I had to stand in a long line the weekend before Thanksgiving, I had a nice chat with my fellow shoppers and kept my patience.
I know the corporate folks at Trader Joe’s will listen to Santa! Why have two stores in Ventura when we could have one with plenty of parking?
And to sweeten the pot, when you come down the chimney at our house on Christmas Eve, I plan to have for you a cup of Trader Joe’s hot chocolate and my favorite cookies — the shortbread ones with the chocolate centers. They’re yummy, and I hope you like them too!
