I note with interest the article regarding the fraud that occurred at Société Générale. Unfortunately, the writer chose to anglicize the spelling. Nobody likes to have their name misspelled.
In this day and age of technology, there is no excuse for ignoring the proper use of language, even if it is not English. The correct spelling of Société Générale is just that, not Societe Generale. Our standing in the world is low enough without further confirming our ignorance. Shame on the Associated Press.
