Ventura needs real businesses

Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, Cost Plus, Best Buy, Fry's, Circuit City (before it went belly up), Olive Garden, Chili's, T.G.I. Friday's, Borders, Whole Foods (if it ever opens).
All of these businesses chose Oxnard over Ventura because our City Council is a bunch of anti-business, anti-growth dimwits. All the tax dollars that we could have been getting are now going to Oxnard. Granted, not all of these are "high-dollar" businesses, but still, Ventura needs to wake up and let some businesses build here. Have you see Thompson Boulevard? It's a ghost town! Most of Main Street is still junky, and every other block has a thrift store. That ain't quaint and old world charm, it is ghetto.
Attention Ventura City Council: No more thrift stores! We do not need two Targets! Let some real businesses come to Ventura!
