The latest from Ben Lee is "Deeper Into Dream." It's from late last year and it's on Dangerbird Records. Lee is a bona fide rock star in Australia and this is his eighth solo album - a concept album about dreams and much more entertaining than Freud's "On Dreams." This one is interspersed with people saying weird things about their weird dreams and then, Lee will play a dreamy, surreal pop songs with clever and twisted lyrics, all laid back and groovy, like a good dream that has you waking up smiling. This one should've been on the Best Of list for 2011 - how can you not love a dude who writes songs about "Pointless Beauty," not to mention "The Church of Everybody Else" and "I Want My Mind Back"? This guy's great.
