Rock 'n' roll call: Parson Red Heads - Murmurations

The latest from Portland's Parson Red Heads is a 6-song EP entitled "Murmurations" and it's on Parson Farm Records. It's three dude, one chick country rock smarty done - you may or may not hear some Wilco, Big Star, the Morrells and maybe a little of the Band in there. The "Jenny" song begins, "Jenny - she's a lost soul" and all of a sudden, I was getting "The L-Word" flashbacks to the evil egomaniac, Jenny Schecter. Anyway, this band is tighter than your boss or the Republicans with the Postal Service's money. Remember, kids, "privatize" is just another word for "stealing public money." These are the best Red Heads since our lazy awesome locals, Raging Arb & the Redheads.
