The debut from We Are Serenades is "Criminal Heaven" and it's on CherryTree slash Interscope. It's a couple of Swedes that speak better English than we do - and more importantly - they sing better as well. It's classic two guy basic pop - not so much unlike Chad & Jeremy or Peter & Gordon from way back but with more embellishment. Let me put it this way, grandma would not flip out and cut you out of the will if you put these guys on. "Come Home" is a most convincing miss-you-baby tune and "Oceans" will live in your head for daze as less is definitely a lot more. Then again, the guy wearing a Slayer shirt might throw rocks at you if you cruised by with We Are Serenades cranked up as this stuff is fully as dangerous as whistling in the backyard but good vocals are good vocals.
