The latest from Wussy, probably not Daddy Bush's favorite band - it's their fifth release (at least) and it's "Strawberry" on Shake-It Records. First off, don't miss these guys June 20 at Zoey's in Ventura. They're like this kick-ass bar band or all the Midwestern bands I've like over the last 20 years all rolled into one - the Morells, the Bottle Rockets, the Gear Daddies, the Rainmakers and even Southern Rockers Charlie Pickett & the Eggs and maybe the Stones, too. There's something cool happening with this Cincinnati band, that's for sure. The first tune, "Asteroids," will make you an instant fan as it assumes semi-permanent residency between your ears for daze. Nothing close to a bad cut.
